Winch does look pretty good on there. Plans for having a hook and rope sticking out of the fairlead?

Axial rad is probably going to be too wide, and interfere with the light buckets. I made mine just wide enough to tuck between the two headlight pods.

Glad you like the winch. If I had my way, I'd have a QS one, like Rocka.

Absolutely. I'd be quite the fool otherwise.

Make sure you pressure test it. Cutting up radiators can be tricky.

I second the QS. I'll keep an eye out for one, I know a few peeps with more than one.

I love the look of the steelies and the MTZ's, it's the perfect combo for a "stock" look. I haven't even had the desire to look at anything RC recently, but now after seeing these great builds, I want one of these kits.

You find me a QS, I'll sell someone else's baby to get it.

Glad I could help you spend money!

Radical!

Just a couple bits of styrene really help hide the wires.

My driver arrived. Calm, cool and collected.

Finally, I got around to the last fiddly bits. Just waiting on a servo and we're good to go. Video this weekend before I go on some travel for work.

N00b let me copy his design for inner fenders. Styrene is more better than lexan.

I also fitted a faux winch line and hook to complete the real fake winch look. Oh, that's a poem.

Sulu's a better driver. And I already call n00b "captain". But that's mainly because I forgot what his first name is.

Hooray!

And here are some photos of it out in the wild. I must've blown a fuse, as both my blinkers are stuck in the "on" position.

Winch with line and hook does look great. Do you have plans on leaf springs?

Since this is an Ontario, Canada truck, it'll need a front licence plate. Not completely Toyota spec, as I made it in my garage.

I don't have a blue star, so no comment! Glad you like it though. All this stuff comes with experience, and experimentation. Give it a go on scrap pieces of styrene and go from there.
