Still waiting on a rubbish ebay seller to deliver the last bits I need to sort out the wheel hubs, so in the meanwhile I've been playing with my camera - so here's a little vid giving a walk round of the truck as it stands right now, and some clips of the various lighting I've installed.

enjoy

yeah - it's tricky for sure

I usually thread the m3 nut onto a long bolt and then hold the bolt in place using a mini crocodile clip thing whilst i solder it on.

It doesn't work perfectly every time though

also - you'll need a LOT of spare crocodile clips as the heat will wear out the springs over time

It’s proved a lot more complicated than you’d expect to get some UNC threaded bolts here in the UK

Not sure who’s fault it was but either way, managed to get some now so I’ve been able to finally properly fit up the wheels using some alloy hub covers that I’ve put some of my home made stickers on - locking hub styleeee

Took it out to a local RC Track today - wow - had a blast.

Loads of man made trails / obstacles along with natural stuff too. The trails up in the trees and the enormous see-saw were a bit nerve wracking!:wow: (watch the video!)

So it was only fitting to take the JK out for a blast.

All in all - it proved to be a pretty capable rig - the pitbull growlers weren't perhaps the best tyre for all the wooden surfaces, but they did great on the rock and concrete.

Here's a video of the day.

Also - did a poll over on Instagram asking for people to guess the weight!

turns out people don't have that much faith in me

The actual weight, including 2 x 3S 2200mah batteries, the drive, cage, body, all the accessories - EVERYTHING, ended up being 11.2lbs or 5.1kg - not bad for all that metal work - one of the benefits of using tubing instead of solid rod.
