Axles all painted up and bein sexy!! Here is the new ghetto motor mount to lift the tranny and motor above the frame rails so I could flip and shift it to move the spur gear down. I center of gravity went up a little but I figure 6oz of weight in each wheel will help that. And with the lower gearing (now 90T/12T) and the super 300s and powerhouse steering Im not to worried about added stress. On the top of the pic you can see how I have the spacers... I could make another plate now that Ive seen this one and probably be able to lose a layer of spacers but I will save that for another day. |

I'm thinking of ordering up some Ti links for the BEAST.... I have them on my BJ-10 and Wraith and they are way nice. I would only have to bend the panhard bar for clearance, the rest of the links are all straight so that makes life a little easier What does everyone think would look better for scale looks... Chaotic Crawlers Ti links or the thicker VP 1/4" Ti links? |

Well I had to make another plate to move the tranny cause the way it was worked mechanically but was too far into the interior space. So I made it to shift the motor to the front a bit. To the side a bit. And lost a layer of spacers so it all sits a little lower now I'll have a pic up soon

The final version of the tranny mount plate. Lower profile and shifted forward for maximum interior room. still ghetto but KISS There is a slight contact between the spur gear and the MIP shaft... Im hoping it will just clearance itself out so I dont have to do anything else with it All I need to do is resolder the wires on the motor to different posts and the servo winch will slide right in. Just waiting for the new Heyok winch controller cause the first one failed when I sucked up the hook and snapped the 3SixRacing line and stressed everything out Now that that issue is handled its time to start on mocking up the interior plate and paint Last edited by NVUS; 11-08-2011 at 03:50 PM. |

BLAST FROM THE PAST!!!! After working out of state for most of last year an other issues I kinda fell off the RC map. But it's GO time!!! So to welcome myself back into this world I have decided to build a scaler FJ cruiser so I stop putting money into my 1:1 FJ for a minute AND reappraoching the BEAST! And by that i have in store a different color scheme, led lightbars, finaly make an interior, AND juice up to a 4S lipo on a HH esc. It will be another week till I dig into the BEAST due to the FJ, but I wanted to let those who remember this rig get the popcorn ready for more!!!! |
