Bah, humbug! Mr. Postman didn't bring me a present today So I mowed the grass, changed the oil in the Ranger and worked on my new Monster Beetle.

I hope to have my chassis by Monday. Fingers crossed.

Monster Beetle?

As in Tamiya, or FG?

As in, hijacking my own thread I picked this up for a good price, thought I'd turn it for a quick profit but fell in love with the damn thing instead. It's really cherry, only one scratch on the bottom, the body had never been painted until today. Now it's got new electronics, all it needs is tires and it'll be better than new.

Tamiya, BTW.

Sweet find!

I have a serious soft spot for anything with a Bug body, and any old-school Tamiya kits..............so you nailed 'em both. Looks good!

You seriously need to stop finding other cool projects and finish up the BB-51/Stunimog, though. ;)

That's a monster beetle right? I've had one that was passed down from my uncle for a while now and its been surprisingly durable.

No package today but I can give you a mockup shot using the OG Barnyard Buster's development chassis, which I'm using to lay out the links, driveshafts, etc.

Totally off-topic, but do you know I considered buying a Dynamite battery for the Monster Beetle just because it would match the color scheme?
