The anticipation's killing me. I tore down the mockup and built some new links from 5/16x1/8 wall aluminum tube and 4-40 allthread, and added a couple more scale surprises. For now, this is what I've got.

My chassis arrived today. As soon as I get home from work, I'll start wrenching.

I'm going to do something really sick and twisted to this build. Stay tuned.

looks like you've got a sweet build going on right now can't wait to see what you do with it. I really like the looks of the chassis.

All that stuff's been public knowledge for months. What I'm talking about is something totally unexpected, yet completely visible in the pic.

NO COOKIE FOR YOU!

Sib gets the cookie!

I was thinking about extending the frame to accommodate the cab's hinge, and then I thought it would look cool with the back end bobbed, so I thought why bother with all that when Unimoger did all the work for me. Swap the links front to back and that's all there is to it.

Tranny is in now, working on the primary drive.

The rear hubs are just cosmetic. They're made from Traxxas shocks, and the tubes unscrew to reveal the wheel nuts

I was gonna guess that is the longest time you have ever spent on a build.

Looks sweet with the huge azz tranny and teeeeny little motor!! I bet it goes so slow.

John, you're sooooo wrong. With the Park 400 (910 KV) geared up (32 pitch gearrs in the semi box make it easy) top speed in third gear is around 10-12 mph and it pulls that with no problem at all. Plenty of torque in first and second, third is pretty worthless for crawling.

I got the body mounted, too. Time for bed. Tomorrow I need to reprogram the speedo, it thinks it's still running my Mini-T
