Just out of curiousity how does the brake line hold up if the rig takes a good tumble? I know nothing is indestructible but how does it hold up compared to a solid rod?

It will bend after a good impact , if you planned on racing a rig like this is u4rc it would get bent out of shape pretty quick . I have been driving this for about a year now and its still straight , I trail it and dont thrash it. The weight advantage over solid rod is the main reason for choosing brake tube but there are stronger ones out there , try DOM or cromoly , both more expensive but much more resilient. |

Super nice rig! Glad I got a peek at Cisco Grove. Nice that you could make it. |

So its been a few years since I built this rig and I'm happy to say its still running fine and getting used. This week was its 3rd trip to the US , Axialfest 2015, 2016 and now the 2017 Ultra4 national Championships in Reno Nevada to meet the 1:1 and Shannon Campbell. This, for me , was the epitome of a scale build. To actually get the pics with the owner/driver/ builder of the full size race car was the pinnacle for me , such an awesome experience. (It was also the coldest I have ever felt ! Damn freezing there !) Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk Last edited by northkona; 10-28-2017 at 02:50 PM. |

That must have been quite rewarding, to have the champ himself holding your build right in front of the real thing...... Congratulations! |
