Took a crossbar out from right in front of the motor so I can remove it by rocking it down and forward with the motor attached, then got 4 new pieces made and brazed in. -Derek |

Got a few more pieces made and brazed in, then I tweaked the front half of the main center rails so they sit higher up. I decided to use the stock wraith steering servo location on top of the axle. With the rear application Proline Powerstroke shocks I plan to use all around, it will clear those rails. The battery location will get a bit tight though I also ordered motor esc and bec from Holmes today. Stuck with the waterproofed MMP, but went with his 3300kv sport 540 sensored 2-pole, with conformal coating from him, and the castle 10amp bec with conformal coating as well. -Derek Last edited by SuperDrty; 03-06-2015 at 11:17 PM. |

Was over helping work on Phil's course today, and the few of us there went on a trail run, I ran Stubby for that, as it's the only running crawler I have with a waterproof esc. So with that I haven't gotten anything done on the bouncer today. On my way home though, I stopped at a local hobby shop to grab more 1300 3-cells that I run in Stubby, as I want to run them in the bouncer too, got 2 more, for a total of 4 now. But... I also grabbed the tires I'll use on the bouncer the 5.4" tall Proline 2.2 Super Swampers, they happened to have a set on the shelves. So I mounted them up on the stock wheels from my Yeti with the shorter replacement hubs on all four. -Derek |

Cut apart 2 AR60 axle housings to make it center pumpkin without sacrificing any width. Ive got the beef tubes turned down, just need to notch and drill them to bolt them in securely -Derek |

Lookin good!.....I stumbled across this thread just as I was refinishing mine up, I say refinishing because I had to tear the cage back apart and make it taller and longer in the rear to be class 3 legal, anyway I was suprised at how similar they appear, I started off cheap though going with a redcat everest....who knows how it will end up though... The proportion of yours is quite different than where mine will end up, yours looks quite narrow. Is that 3/16 rod/tube? looks smaller than the 1/4" brake line I'm using. Looks good though. Not much done so far tonight, but used stock AR60 trusses, one on each side with some trimming. Still have trimming to do to get the lower link and shock mounts mounted. -Derek |

Ive got an integy cantered housing for mine but the dual truss looks tuff as and seems to give plenty of link mounts. Awesome

Yes, it's 3/16" rod, tends to look a bit more scale than other stuff I've tried, and I've learned through many years of playing in the woods, smooth and sleek works very well.

Got the main tubes of the rear of the cage in. Was not easy getting both sides anywhere even close to symmetrical (which it's not) -Derek |

Got 2 packages today with the motor and esc, and Solar D772 servos. One of which I'm making a servo winch from, but not the easier way. After separating the board from the bottom of the motor, I cut the case to open it up for where there will be a spool soon. Also changed my plans for battery placement, it will mean changing a couple tubes already in, but I think its for the better. Dual batteries in the floorpans I'm waiting on another package to come as well, has the shocks, rear axle shafts, lockouts, vp titanium steering links, and servo horns. -Derek |

More parts came in, shocks, the VP titanium steering links, plastic rear lockouts (amain was out of stock on the axial aluminum) and a couple other bits. For upper shock mounts, I'm utilizing 4 3mm orings per corner to keep some flex. With the inner two at each corner trimmed down to fit in the mount hole on the shock. Then started the "teeth" on the front Oh, and shocks will get springs, I just took them off to fit everything around full compression -Derek |
