There hasn't been any progress made. I have too many projects, haha. With it getting warmer outside, my energy has shifted to my bike build, this project is not dead, just on pause for the moment.

Also getting sick last month killed the momentum I had going on this.

Got one trimmed up, and fit in the Wraith seat, and threw an Axial Moto head on.

Wow. Hold on a sec... Wow.

That is an awesome build! Great job on integrating all of the scale details; most of the time they look like afterthoughts or are half-a$$ed attempts. The Wild Willy driver is almost exactly scale to this truck too, maybe just a little bit big.

Having no experience with it myself, how do you think the mini transmission is going to hold up? It looks like you will be running a sensored 540 on 3s, so it will be getting a fair amount of power put through it...

Thanks man.

Honestly, I'm not sure how the tranny is going to hold up. I've watched a setup using the 540 can Velineon survive in a 1/16 Revo (rear diff gears on the other hand, didn't fare so well) , so I have hope, haha. If it does not survive, I've seen metal gears and cases I can upgrade to. I liked the compact size, and how narrow the setup was, so I ran with it. I can always just turn the punch control WAY up if need be, haha. OH, and it's the Holmes TrailMaster 540 Sport 3300kv with a MMP waterproofed by him.

I'm going to start on 2s, and see how it goes first. I went and grabbed the 2000 2s batteries for their thinner height over the 2200's I already had, and made sure the battery boxes would fit these. If I feel the need to go 3s, the 1300's I already have for Stubby fit perfect.

I think the Willy's fig is about right, the axial head is a touch small for him, but then it just makes it look like he's overweight, haha. A friend has the Willy's fig in his FJ build, with the axial skull head, and I though that combo would be perfect for this thing (but with the moto helmet). It'll take some plastic massaging for the passenger's arms though, but that should work out fine.

Some more tube work getting done.

Also found the need to lower MotoWilly, and I can get this by just removing the seat bottom from the Wraith seat.

I'll be going back out to the garage after food and FD Atlanta is done.

Got a few more small bars in, finicky little bars getting them all lined up.

Also, Im almost out of the good brazing wire. Once this runs out, I may have to wait a bit before I get more, stuff is not cheap, but its ease of use makes it worth every penny.

Wasn't 100% pleased with the wire placement/soldering on the motor leads, plus not a fan of the 90° bullet connectors it came with. Repositioned the wires on the motor tabs (after reaming the holes slightly to fit the larger wires it came with) and shortened them to better fit in the chassis, while putting standard 4mm bullets on the ends.

And the slipper pad was glazed, flipped it over, and made it as tight as I could.

New test vid of the bouncer on 2s, slipper pad flipped over and tightened as far as I could get it.

Has some lag to it because I set the punch control up to 80%, might be messing with the crawlability of it thats ok for now

Also, Im going to need a fan on the motor, and to gear it down more, after about 5 minutes, motor was already at about 160°

Step by step of flipping the gears in the 1/16 revo tranny for a 9.xxx reduction vs. a 5.1xx reduction. Still has plenty of wheel speed on 2s, but the low end is much easier to modulate.

Yes, I'll have it with me, but not sure if I'll run it or not, it's a LONG way from done still, but I couldn't resist firing her up.

I'm anxious to see your bouncer as well.

OH! I forgot to add that with the gears flipped, and the lower ratio, the motor wasn't anywhere near as hot after a similar run time as the other day. was only at 100° vs the 160° before.

I still want to underdrive the rear axle though, but I need to buy more of the brazing wire before gears, haha.

And I should have SSD-RC's steel WB8-HD parts coming in tomorrow. One less thing to worry about, since the stock WB8-HD rear shaft was the only real weak point I found on my rtr Yeti.

Worked on the mini lathe to make a spool for the servo turned winch.

Got some figuring to do to get the clearance to fit back in the frame, got a couple ideas already.

Plus I still need to make the spacers for the 2 long case screws.

Got spacers made, trimmed the splined section of main gear down, filed the frame a little as well, but she fits now, barely, haha. Cable is from a retracting key ring/badge holder. Just put a hook on the end in place of the key ring. Now just need to wire it up.
