Correct again. ^^^

You can pretty much buy all the parts for the SWX kit separately if you want.

thanks for both replies. Is the width of the SWX skidplate 50mm or 60mm? ( just want to be sure to buy the correct size posts. Those things are stupid expensive at $3 a piece)

50mm wide. 60mm would be used for the upper links with the stock 3-link configuration.

You do not need the bent links for this chassis. My SWX goes where my ARTR cannot

You may need to shorten the stock driveshafts a little. I just use a small hobby grade tubing cutter, then deburr the ends with an x-acto knife to make sure they still slide together smoothly.

I haven't tried it myself. You may get a little extra ground clearance out of it with bent links, but your driveshafts will be more exposed to rocks.

"Bender", one last question. Will the new SWX skid plate mate up with your older SW3 chassis plates? ( are all of the holes in the same relative places?) Thanks for being so availble to answer everyone's questions.

I've never tried it myself, so I'm not much help there. I'd give it try and see how it works.

Snapped a pic of my 4-link plate install in the rear of my rig.

Here's a link with more details on the alternative link set-up these plates can provide too.

Sorry I missed this question when it was first asked. I do prefer the uppers and lowers to be as close to the same length as possible. There are a number of reasons why it works best.

There's a bunch of good info here on link set-ups.
