Doesn't matter how long you've been here, if your not a star holding member, you'll need to use a host to add photos, Photobucket and others work just fine.

Theres a comp this Sunday in Taylors if you wanna test it this weekend

To use this to disengage the rear drive shaft you will have to turn the tranny around (mirrored) is that right?

Any idea when it will be available. For this pricepoint, I'm definately interested.

Thanx freetime-I can't make it this weekend, but I'm going up to taylor's today to give it a go...had a blast at the comp a couple weeks ago (my
first)... Loads of helpful folks and no condescending attitudes

I've tested it pretty hard this weekend...had the front tires locked-up in a crevice & the dig didn't break or slip at all...I'm still
tuning the EPA, though, cuz I did have some probs disengaging the dig under heavy load on steep incline..I think i've got it dialed in....I'm trying to find that mid-spot value that will allow me to free-wheel the rears...I'll try to get pics up...

OK, here's the best pics I can get without removing panels:
http://s287.photobucket.com/albums/l...lambertjr/dig/

I still have some tweaking of EPA to do...I'm not new to RC, but I am new to crawling, so I have nothing to compare this dig against...Some more experienced buddies thought it looked pretty good, but that was before I installed it...I will add updates as time goes on..
But...I've been using it for a week and it still works, which is rare for me!

UPDATE: The dig is working fine, but I am still having to reverse slightly to
get the dig to disengage on an incline...I've searched the dig threads and when others had this prob with other digs, they were told to get a stronger servo..is this the only solution?

I'm having the exact same problem with my HR dig. I'm using a Hitec HS-81MG dig servo right now, but I'm going to switch to something a little stronger.

Here's a pic of my setup. I mounted the servo along the side of the chassis to keep the cg lower.

I've got a JR590 that I'm gonna drop in & try, but I gotta pull it out of my Mayhem first! I just don't wanna buy another $50 hi-torque servo if the problem is somewhere else...

I'm having the same problem with my FT dig and I have a 645 MG servo. There is enough torque to flex my chassis a little. I braced it and still cant get it to disengage under tension.

I think maybe the stock output being soft is letting it "grab". I'm going to try a hardened one next.

I switched to a GWS Micro 2BBMG servo. It has a lot more torque, but it still won't disengage smoothly when on an incline. The GWS servo is much better than the Hitec HS-81MG, but it still needs a few more adjustments to get it working smoothly. I think teflon bushings might help but I'm not prepared to tear everything apart just yet.

Do all digs require flipping the transmission? Ican't tell if you have to with this dig. Seems like all the others you do.
