Default servo rating........

Oh, and for those that were wondering about the torque specs on the RTC servo it's rated at 132 ozs @ 6v. I couldn't find a spec for 4.8v for some reason.

so are you doing any more to the truck or just running it as is? Id like to see some comp results if you compete with it. Also are you planning on a dig for this rig or competing without?

They will be available separately, keep an eye out for the press release this month.

I've been running it as is, and it's working very well. I don't plan on adding a dig, or really competing with it. But, I do have a bunch of really good raw video footage I need to edit together.

No plans for a dig at this time, maybe a set of OD gears for the front first.

It's a great entry level rig with endless potential to be a full blown comp rig.

Finally got the video posted too.

Brad, not to get OT - but what is your take on when to use which gear set?

Both accomplish the same thing, but one does it with more wheelspeed, right?

So would you say - guys with lower turn motors and round cells might want to consider the OD in the front? and guys with higher turn motors and lipos might want to look at the lower gearset for the rear?

Changing the rear is certainly easier to do on a rig that is built. But I'm curious why you prefer to do the front instead? Would love to get your take on when to do which?

Thanks,

Mike

the scx10 is more of a scale/trail rig and the rtc is the intro into comps rig . both are nice, its all in what you want to do with it

Both gear sets do accomplish the same thing, but offering 2 different new ratios on top of the OG gears gives guys more options. My personal take on it is if you have all the wheel speed you need now, go with the under drive gears out back. If you would like a little more wheel speed, go with the over drive gears out front. I run the OD gears out front to get a little more wheel speed in front for digging around tight corners and pulling the rig up steep ledges and steps. I tried the OD gears out front and the UD gears out back at the same time for a while, but I didn't like how different the ratios were. But, I know that some of our Axial team drivers do run both sets and love it. So, you will definitely get different opinions depending on who you talk too.

This is the perfect starter truck if you want to build up a rig for competitions. The SCX is more of a realistic looking rig that performs very well. Both can be very fun for just playing around on the rocks too. I'd say if you have big enough obstacles/rocks in your area go with the 2.2 RTC. If you are more into scale looks and trail type running with smaller rocks go with the SCX.

Is the speedcontrol designed for crawling? From the video its hard to tell how smooth it is from zero to crawl.

It's smooth, but it doesn't have drag brake or anything like that. It's an entry level ESC.
