I have big bores on mine but it's still being built... Gunnar runs them on his ff4 as well and I believe brian is building one with them on it too. They're too high... uh ya big time... put some limiters in them... that thing will flop over everywhere lol

I still have an unused proto cab with the engravings I just need to track down a skid and lower plates. I may even have a skid in a box. Edit: No skid in a box. I must have tossed it. It was the original from my FF-4 and beat up not just "broken in" Last edited by DickyT; 11-23-2010 at 06:36 PM. |

Thanks Norm. DT I have to agree with norm, MNRCRC does deal with a few big drops every now and again. As a matter of fact at our last scale gtg we had a unfortunate mishap, a members honcho fliped on a climb and tumbled 10 or so feet then fell 20+ feet into a raging river and got swept down stream never to be seen again. I have also broken my share of C's and stub axles in the past due to rather large falls. CVD's and Vp parts have fixed that. | |

| Thanks man, cant wait to them out on real rock. My indoor crap just isn't cutting it. On a side note I really am interested to try my set up on the rocks of the fb's old stomping grounds. I should be making a trip to Fl in the near future. I'll pm you the details when it gets a little closer. |

So Mike who sent their Honcho to a swimming class? Actually I'm really surprised that doesn't happen more often. |

Ok so I finally got a scale. So I was able to get a rtr weight. Man she needs to go on a diet. Im gonna try to get her under 6lbs. I also took a few more pics of the battery guard for pipedreams so I dont jack his thread anymore. ok thats all for now. If I ever get around to putting my new skinz on I will take some pics of them too. |

Do you just use that velcro strap to hold the guard down, or is there some secret mount in there?

I have little strips of Velcro on the mount plate, both sides of the battery and on the inside of the guard. Those keep it from sliding around. The strap just holds it all down and is easy to remove.
