So on to the pics

This is how I recieved the chassis

The old rig

Old and busted next to the new hotness! (sorry blurry)

Assembly pics

All done next to old rig turned sportsman

Last but not least some action shots to hold everyone over for awhile

my favorite pic of the day!

Thanks for looking. Comments/questions welcome. Rebuild to follow starting mid november. First thing on the list is to make new body panels. Perhaps DickyT might want his "Nats" pannels back for some sentimental reasons? Let me know. I should have some more action pics this sunday

Nah, they are beat to crap, use them as a template to cut new ones and trash them. I have a t-shirt, photos and great memories, it is enough.

Good to see it running again, and hopefully well I'm looking forward to the rebuild.

So I totally for got my cammera the last 2 times I went out to run this rig. I am happy to report that I am very impressed with it. I have changed a few things tho. Mainly just shock fluid and shock pistons. I still dont really like the losi shocks I am going to try my traxxas big bores on it before the snow comes and stays... (have had 7'' already)

I'm gonna try to get out to my favorite spot again this week and hopefully wont forget the camera this time.

The rig looks great Mike. How is it driving for you vs. what you were running before?

Fastbacks are required, resistance is futile!

Well it is for sure different than my previous rig. Some handling characteristics are similar and some way better. I havent found anything yet that I can say the old rig was way better at. I think they are close in handling on some things. However the fastback out does my old rig about 90% of the time.

This is my old rig.

The guts of the old rig

Some specs on the old rig
It has a Fubar skeeter moa chassis I narrowed 1/4'' and cut the side plate to fit the motor. The trans and motor were offset to the left so the weight of the dig and dig servo equaled it out left to right. It was set up as a 50/50 chassis.
Dna dig cheese ball bluebird dig servo
carbonfiber dig servo mount
delrin links equal length lowers front and rear and equal length uppers front and rear
tcs front and rear 4 link plates.
Traxxas big bores 20 wt oil front 35 left rear 30 right rear
losi white springs
35t hh sport motor
cc sidewinder
cc bec
hs170 servo

It handled well for a home built shaft rig. Tho it was a little top heavy and it didnt like to side hill when it got steep. I contribute that to the dig servo mounted up high. I for sure believe that the fastback is a big improvement. the 60/40 alone makes it better. lol...

Next spring I will have both of these rigs up and running at the same time. I had to rob the esc out of it for the fb so when I get a brxl for the fb I will have both of them to test side by side for some good comparison shots.

How many of you guys with Fastback chassis are running traxxas big bores? I have quite a few hours of run time with my old rig and big bores so I have them tuned how I like them. I'm just looking for some opinions of big bores on the fb chassis...

I really don't like the losi shocks I have on the fb right now, idk why exactly they just rub me the wrong way I guess. I think that I am gonna switch them out for the traxxas ones before I take it out on the next run. Some testing pics may follow...
