The Brood motor is the best thing that ever happened to this rig, put yours in you won't be sorry.
300's are the $hit, they have been bullet proof since day one.

I have not updated this in a while because Sportsman died around here, but I think it's about to make a come back. I have some plans to re-work the servo mount to fit the battery underneath like it was intended to be, and re-do the aluminum chassis out of delrin or carbon fiber to lighten things up. I look forward to tinkering with this rig again it is a fun rig to drive.

Say what? You want your servo on top of your battery? I think I missed something.

The battery goes underneath the servo plate beside the bottom of the servo. I just need to remake the servo plate shifting the servo mounting position a little more to the left so the battery will clear the drive shaft.

Take pic's. My bat is on a velcro sling between the top links immediately behind the servo. It wasn't intended to be the long term plan, so I'll be interested in seeing what you come up with.

Yeah, if you bolted on my heavyish wheels/tires, body and battery, it would be about 6lbs. How much of that do you figure you can drop just lightening the chassis? I kinda thought chassis' were pretty light to start with so not a lot to give.

I am hoping with the combination of carbon fiber chassis plates, rear 4 link plate, chassis braces (if they will hold up, if not I will use delrin), aluminum rod end balls, aluminum hardware, and some wire shortening I can get it a few ounces lighter.
We will see, that's the fun part!

Nice work! The skid on this chassis makes it a PERFECT candidate for CF side plates!
