Thanks for the link, this is an impressive build.

Are you the brains behind Rock Logic?

Thanks,

I really enjoy building comp crawlers. I have 3 builds going on right now for myself and friends... Just need more time!

I'm not the brains behind rock logic. I just wanted to build a shafty chassis that works well and matches my MOA truck Lars (Falloout) is the brain.

We'll see how they do in Arizona next month. There should be 3 of these "Sporty Spider" chassis hitting the rocks at the Shootout.

TOM

The sporty spiders (and drivers) did awesome at the Shootout in AZ this weekend. All but me finished in top 10. I had a gnarly fall and stripped out my servo horn... excuses excuses...

Took some video clips this morning for your entertainment!

I have the Ti Cab if you want to buy it. As far as that Delrin chassis, it's long gone. But the current chassis should be available soon in aluminum or carbon fiber. PM RcBro's for details

A small update:
I need to get this truck fixed up for Nationals in a couple weeks, so I built a new servo/link mount last night.

I got a great hook up on Cera-Coating and did my old SSZ wheels in white. I LOVE em!!!

They will definitely get switched between both trucks!

And some Nova foams with a quick "comp cut"

Some sticky silver dot VooDoo's

Picked up a "star" shaped hole punch for $6 at the craft store. Now I gots me some fancy vents The pink handles are the best part! I asked if they had penis shaped ones, but no luck...

All mounted up with black aluminum screws on the rings

And mounted up on the sporty with some black aluminum 4-40 screws. They look great on my black Shift Hubs!

That is one CLEAN looking shafty.

I haven't seen anyone vent Voodoo's on the sidewalls yet, but I have seen some ripped sidewalls.

Small update:

The rock spider did really well at Nationals last weekend! I made plenty of mistakes throughout the day which put me in 32nd place. Congrats to Yoshi, John R and Jake for making the podium! They drove exceptionally well, the courses were brutal to say the least!

Here are some pictures of my electronics that I re-did right before I left for Nats.

Electronics are as follows,

CC Mamba Micro Pro
CC BEC
Hobbyking RX
Holmes 16t crawlmaster
Hitec 7950

That came out really clean Tom!
I'm sure you could order some "authentic Asian" dildos and make the handles for you star hole punch.

Hahaha, I think I'll save that for when I get the penis shaped hole punch made. We were talking about it at Nats and how fun it would be to have one. Then go around and punch out penis shaped holes in people bodies and panels LoL!

Yeah, all of mine have been great! I had a couple issues waterproofing RX's. But I found out its because the conformal coating was getting inside the bind button. So now I bind the RX to my 4pk. Make sure everything works. Then coat it all at once.

One other thing to be careful of, if you switch models and you still have your previous vehicle turned on, you will drive both vehicles at once! Almost took my sporty for a swim one day by forgetting to un plug it LoL

I took some pictures when I threw my sporty back together last Saturday right before out comp. I'll take some more detailed pics of the changes tonight!

The only grease I use on my crawlers over here in Oregon

Front axle assembled. SUPER easy with the new RcBros parts!

And fully assembled with some "loaner" wheels

Comparing the work mats you can definitely see who does all the work in Oregon.
