Tore the truck apart for a rebuild. She was getting tired. Everything was rusted up, body finally ripped through the posts and electronics decided the last swim was to much.

Had a lot of people thinking our tubes allowed mud and water inside. I can attest the we drive our comp crawlers through more water and mud then some scalers ever see.

You can see my rear axle has rust and water, none in the front.

The updates will be some cosmetic and some practical.

The first practical install is a cleaned and re-greased transmission. New NCD carbon motor mount and a new Holmes Hobbies motor!

With the types off gasps and "oh _____" we get at a local comp when someone splashes through a puddle I can't even imagine what would happen if we came there for a comp. I'm thinking we'd need to keep the EMS on standby for heart attacks.

That 520 motor has been treating my sporty really well

During some comps it rains so bad you can't even make out the numbers on your controller screen because the inside of the controller is wet. You know it's been a good day when you have to let your controller dry out.

I can't say how much I love this small community and my fellow small vendors for the kick ass parts

I picked up a set of Y-Town Crawler Carbon Fiber/Aluminum combo glue on wheels with red anodizing to match the rest. Having had this planned for sometime, I snagged a set of V1 shift hubs at Nationals from Lattice Innovations and used my Tire Discount card from OttSix and got a set of silver voodoos to go with it all the goodies.

Lastly, because I'm picky; the Voodoo's were sent over to E.Y. Designs for a custom narrow and shortening service. They are nearly identical specs as a Boss claw now Why do I go this route? I feel the taller tire works great in some areas, and the shorter tire works great in some areas. I try to tune my rigs to be good in all, rather that great in one area. The same goes for suspension setups when it comes to side hills, turning and inclines.

This way, weather i'm in the slippery water soaked rocks in Oregon, or high traction in apple valley, I know what my truck can do!

Enough chatter, check out the new shoes

Got to give it up to BC Paints for this next post. BC Paints donated a body at Nationals last year and Falloout was lucky enough to win it.

Falloout chose the body theme and when it came for BC Paints to ship it, Falloout went MIA For those whom don't know, I work with Falloout and so I arranged having the body shipped to me. After giving the body to Falloout and his decision to stop comping, he was gracious enough to give the body to me.

For those of you who've been comping for several years, you should recognize where the idea came from
