Sorry guys, this is a hobby.

My job is real life.

I'll see you at the next one.

I'm still building to be ready, schedules sometimes change.

There is a small glimmer of hope.

It turned out great. No loss removing the outer bearing I wasn't going run anyway.

The screws, holding the hubs on, will be on the same thick material the originals were located in.

I'm stoked to run the 4* of camber with your knuckles, and still have the bottom of the tire measure 10-3/4".

Expecting cool things, knuckles are at the house..... too bad I'm on the road this week.

Cool. Cant wait to see. I think this mod is right around the corner for me. I would like to keep my current setup but I am forced to make some other changes so its give and take....

I hear you there. Always a compromise somewhere.

Interested to see what you're cooking up.

Christmas came early at my house today, thanks Erik!

Well, no updates here.

After payment on March 1st for knuckles from Dlux I still do not have anything to show for it.

The original order was botched, and I received something completely wrong, pictured above.

Promises of quick delivery to set things right, have proven to be untrue.

This seems coarse, but I couldn't be more dissatisfied.

Note the sway bar arms in the photo above, only one of them is drilled.

Roughly $190 and no satisfaction, 24 days later......

That really stinks. I am guessing you won't be ready for this weekend then.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune and obvious disdain. I'm sure Erik is working hard to get your squared away. His customer service has always been some of the best.

Unfortunately, I have to work this weekend.

I'm unable to attend the first comp regardless.

That doesn't change my discord regarding the situation.

I'd love to get this thing together, to get some drive time.

I think we all know, driving is the key, parts are a miniscule factor in the total result.

I appreciate your sympathy.

Sorrowfully, the last pm I received from Erik said something to the effect:

'Hey man, when I woke up this morning, it occurred to me that I may have forgotten to cut the slots on the knuckles to allow you to insert the drive pins. Let me know when you get them if that's the case'.

What then?

They still may be wrong when I do get them, which wasn't today.........

I'm not afraid of fabrication..... just don't feel I should have to do ANY, at that price.

Hey,

I just sent a PM.

I didnt know this was still going on. I never heard anything after I sent the replacements so I assumed all was good.

Tracking info shows that the replacements were delivered 2 days ago, delivered before you posted up about not getting them.

Hit me up in PM about what you want to do and the current situation so I know what needs to be done to fix this.

Got your pm today, but not your parts.

PM sent back.

Well, I guess my build will be going a different route.

Dlux fab got the knuckles wrong again.

Posting my dissatisfaction with the first order, has apparently gotten me exiled forever.

Bad service generates bad reviews online.... every day... all over the world.

Better service would get a better review.

It was never personal.

What I did get in return, was called names, and told I would receive no support in the future for his product.

Since I have yet to receive the correct parts, it seems I am left no real option but to return everything and walk away.

Well, I'm finally moving forward on this build.

I happened to have some plastic knuckles with me, here on the road.

Bolted it all up, and it measured at just under 10.5" with a .250 SLW.

My c-hub shave job seems to have worked out perfectly.

Got some VP knuckles, and RCBros weights coming my way.

I can't pick up the VP knuckles at the local shop until I travel home on Friday.

Couldn't wait, and swapped a pair on, from another rig.

Looks like everything clears just fine with the stock red arms.

Knowing that, other aftermarket arms should fit just fine, so I'm psyched.

I stacked two rod ends on top of each other, just to make sure I could do that, if need be.

If I choose to run axial stubs, I'll have to cut some off the ends, no big deal.

I already have the OFNA universals, in preparation for a failed knuckle purchase, so i'm not sure what route I'm taking with axle shafts yet.

looking good bro. I'm not a big fan of stacking the drag link and tie rod but you have to give some where, if you need too.

I know what you mean.

Not sure how stuff will play out, just checking the options.

Any progress is a welcome change to me....lol.

Still chugging away, best I can here in the motel.

Sorry about the photos, lighting is terrible here.

Got my first rough draft for steering.

I only have the parts that I brought along.

Weather has postponed the first comp of the season, so I continue to build.

The arm on the drag link seems to be limiting my steering some, but it's not terrible for a last minute patch job.

I have one more week to get it better, thanks to good old mother nature.

Perhaps I can still compete with a tossed together rig.

That's better than nothing.....yea!

Well, with no tools or much to work with, I had to cobble my electronics in, behind the servo.

I cut a small piece of lexan with a razor knife, and hand filed it here in the motel.

It's not ideal, or according to the grand plan, but it's running again.

Been about a month now, so I'm happy about that.

Messed with the steering a bit more and got it somewhat better.

I know what I really want, but this is what I have.....for now.

It doesn't suck, so that's cool.

Need to finalize my front uppers now, they're a bit short for the new axle.

Time to focus on making this a 4wd rig again.

OFNA inners with Axial stub shafts is the plan for now.

Hopefully it will be ready enough just to participate at the comp on Sunday.
