How's your clearance from the electronics tray to Gunnar's front body mount under full compression? Mine is setup similar to yours and that's an area of contention at this point for me.
Thanks! My driveshafts are double female WB8's over a male. The two female halves on the front driveshaft will actually meet and act as a stop keeping about 3mm of space between the body mount and ESC.

That's a crazy nice thing to say Brian. I enjoy being able to give something back to our community. I really dig the look of your build! It will be sweet to watch her run a couple times a month come spring. Thank you again for letting me do the lid!

Helluva idea. Never would have thought of that. Thanks for the tip.

Thank you sir. Credit goes out to Travis for designing such a great chassis.

Thanks. I think I can limit my big bore a few mm and lower mine a bit more.
I was a bit higher than I wanted but didn't want to fork out for some new shocks.

If you can't your Big Bore's where you like them, check out Erik Dlux's no preload shock cups for the Big Bore's.

Well I was looking for build threads on 2.2S....and some chassis that would give me some ideas. This has got to be one of the cleanest builds I've seen, what a spectacular build.

I learned quite a bit.....

Thanks for the kind words. It was fun putting this one together and I'm glad people are getting good info out of it.

I haven't posted much in a while due to working on m Pro rig, but I should have a few small updates in the next month or so.

WOW it's been some time since I've updated this thread. With the season start just a couple of weeks away, I decided to do a couple last minute changes to the Suckerpunch.

Originally the front axle had HD Axial gears in stock gearing format and delrin beef tubes to accommodate XR knucks, chubs and universals. RCBros released his Burly tubes after I had already built the axles and I was going to leave it alone, but I'm not good at leaving things be. A tear down and rebuild was in order. Axial O/D gears and RCBros Burly tubes took the place of the stock gears and delrin tubes.

The fit of the Burly tubes is outstanding and installation is simple.

I also decided to go another route with tires and wheels. After seeing the design of ORK's SS wheels I knew I had to have a set on this rig. My original plan was to wrap them in some Voodoos, but I've since decided to go back to the trusty Rovers. Got some Shift hubs on the way and should have this wrapped up just in time for the first comp on the 30th.

Thanks man. I honestly don't know who made those collars and they were hard to find, which is why I started making them to offer to people.

You got them from me, along with some spring cups. I machined a bunch for some friends, & put some on the classifieds.

Good looking build. That front axle looks clean, and it's nice to know that the rcbros tubes fit nice. I will be installing mine next week so I look forward to them.

Nice wheels as well. Thanks for supporting ORK
