| AX10 Scorpion Update
We have been working as hard and fast as we can. Our manufacturer has been slow getting us first samples of the plastic parts. We were waiting for some substantial parts to come in before we posted an update. Please visit this link for more info: http://www.axialracing.com/ftp/Press...06-07/AX10.htm We will hopefully have another update later this month, I am starting testing on the transmission and other related parts this weekend and hope to have any changes wrapped up in the next 2 weeks, by that time I should have axles to test as well. Thanks, Axial |

| Originally we were going to be shipping late June, the revised time frame is early to mid July at this point. The major hang up has been getting first shots from the molds, once we have those we still have to do testing, so far everything has gone together really well, I just have to get it onto the rocks and put some time on the parts to determine if anything needs to be changed. So, basically, best guess estimate is mid-July. Thanks, Axial |

Hey Axial guy - First off - big props for bringing this project this far. Your investment in this, in both time and money, looks pretty heavy. What I'm wondering after reading your update and seeing the pics - is if you think you'll be offering the transmission for sale seperately? It's a very compact, balanced, well thought-out looking unit. Hell, the axles look good too so far. Any thoughts on sales of individual parts vs. a whole kit? |

Good thing I won't be ready to start building a new rig for a month or so, so I can wait for the release. Lots of other stuff to round up also. I'm ready to tackle a tube chassis, and now this is the tranny I want to design it around. It's so bloody small, and the motor mounts at the lowest point possible. Thanks Axial Guy. Good Luck with rest of your project, I hope everything goes as planned... Last edited by Big Mike; 06-08-2007 at 11:13 AM. | |

Well, the more I see, the more ok I am with the fact that they're being pushed back a little. Mine is pre-ordered at Tower, and it looks like it's going to be worth the wait.

well that does it, I was thinking about Pre-ordering one and this put me over the edge, im now a few hundread dollars poorer. I had one question, Axial.com's press release gave very horrible measurements and chassis specs do you know what they are... ex. suspention flex, travel, axle width,etc...

i preordered over a month ago... the wait is killing me but now seeing some real updates/pics and knowing that it is being thoroughly tested before its release makes me feel a lot better about spending my money for this long a wait. |

I had the pleasure of meeting one of the "RC Guys" at a comp yesterday and he had mentioned that testing that is being done now with some Scorpions is going well and they're ironing out the wrinkles and spraying the bugs with generous amounts of RAID... I, too, ordered over a month ago and I'm gettin' VERY tweaky about gettin' it... Everytime I dream and crawlers are involved, which is fairly often lately, they're all ano'd green! Nope... It's not THAT big on my mind... hehe |
