Fully negotiable with shoe choice.

Everytime I look at sorcca rules I shake my head. Such a silly jumble of crap to go by.

Ah, heck with it! Pre-ordered! I really do need to get rid of something to offset this... anybody in the market for an MOA with less than 5 minutes on it?

I didn't order any electronics yet, I plan to borrow the Mamba Micro X and 2700kv stubby from my Wraith and the Futaba A700 servo from my Bully2 and see how that jives with the chassis' attitude. Same goes for tires, between my kids and myself, we've got a handful of 1.9"s to experiment with (...or 2.2"s if I'm feeling frisky.) This will be the first kit that I actually plan to build as the instructions show!

This rig has got me wanting another Axial again, it personally ticks all the boxes for me.

I'll be going brushed with a Hobbywing 1080 & either a Yeah Racing Just Climb 540 13t motor or Holmes Hobbies TrailMaster Sport 550 27t running on 2S

I'd love to go brushless with a ROC412 but too much ££ for me at the moment.

I can't decide on tyres, are the Hyrax fitted to the test rig the 4.73" version?

Thanks

No. Tires are not included but those bead locks are. Scroll down about 2/3 way.

I think he is asking what size the tires were on the rig in the video.

There is no space for 550 motor. 540 is max.

On the official video the driving style is creeping Crawler pace, but I'm curious to see how it will react to a more U4 rock racer driving style. I know this is not a TH, but it would be cool to get that plushy landing if occasionally throttling up a ledge to get some air...

I am thrilled to hear that dynamite is finally releasing a 3s shorty pack.

I feel like those are the 4.7" Hyrax - not the Class 1s

I'm not sure what tires I'll put on mine till I have the rest built up. I have several 4.6-4.75s sitting around, but the pics make those look kinda big, so I'm wondering if I should get the 4.3" Super Swampers to try out. This could be one where 1.9s stretched on 2.2s actually look decent as well.

My old school Losi Rock Carvers sit at 5.2in. Might be a good fit for 2.2...

Care to explain that a bit more? The dynamite in the scx24 have not had a great track record though mine seems fine. I have one in a jet boat from pro boat that has hardly any time on it but still seems ok too. I have not seen too many get returned for the arrma completer packs

Proline Krawlers are going to be my choice, a damn good tire and appropriate for a WERock buggy.

Fantastic tire with soft foam and predator compound. My C2 uses 4.5" CI 2 stage with killer results.

Yeah I have the Krawlers on the 1.9 Wraith right now but will probably swap them over for pics. I need to stop being lazy and set up the light box but I should take pics of it with KLR X4s and Pitbull RB XLs as well.

I was going to buy Hyrax in Predator flavor, but I found some NIP Rock Beast XL's at home in Alien Kompound from a Pitbull 50% off sale. Now I just have to figure out what foams to use because the stock Pitbull foams sucks. They are so damn hard.
