So is this the conversion kit or is that actually the unstuck with portals? Also, what happened to your SSD Lux rig?

I sold side piece to a friend a couple years ago. I get it back for maintenance once in a while, he loves that rig so I must have done something right. | |

| Re: El Chivo Other than axles yes. Side piece was built to be a twin to el pinko to test the ssd_lux axles. I figured it was easier to have a second rig then to swap axles back and forth to do the testing. Here is a side by side of el pinko and el chivo. |

Capra resurrection. Dropped in a bomb proof trans and mips in to feed a high altitude performance offset xr width front axle and an ssd xr rear portal. Trx4 shocks do the boingy duties. Found a spectrum s6250 servo in my stash so that got put to use. Also found a delrin berg tie rod that works with dlux knuckles so we are in business. It still has the 2700 holmes powered by a mamba x so it should be a fun buggy. |

| Re: El Chivo I figure it'll be a fun rig. It's all waterproof so the snow will be fun this year again. Last edited by WHITE-TRASH; 11-19-2019 at 09:46 PM. |

| Re: El Chivo I wanna see you driving these things, dude. Especially El Pinko. I look at how smart your stuff is built and it’s like I’m over here playing with Matchbox cars. 4SMatchbox cars now, thanks to some stuff you wrote a while back—so thanks for that advice. |

Are you running the 1" or 1.5" wide CI wheels?

Yup, they're 1". I had el chivo out again today but not for long, it went from 30* to 25* with a breeze right about the time I started running that rig so I didn't even get a whole battery ran through it. Last time, well the first time really I had it out I was running a 30 turn motor but it was way too fast so I dropped in a 40 turn skewed arm brood axle buster. I'm going to go from an 11 tooth pinion to a 13 before the next outing. It had all kinds of control but it lacked wheel speed with only 3s feeding it. |

And then? Krazed Builds talked me into it... Damn that Bobbin! May need some Capra knowledge.. This plastic, short steering armed, non overdriven, front axle, isn't going to cut it for me.. Love the CI 6 bolts! I still run a set or 2, myself! Way easier than the first set of them, ever made.. Cutting all the support fins and a 1" bagel out of the center of a 2" wide wheel, Sucked! Then trying to drill 6 holes for a hub.. ugh.. Sent from my moto z4 using Tapatalk Last edited by Robbob; 12-18-2019 at 06:06 PM. |

I must have missed a lot. Your Capra has an SSD rear axle and somebody hijacked your thread. Time to go back and read through this one.

| Re: El Chivo What's funny is I haven't ran the rig since I rebuilt it. the weather has been craptacular on the weekends so i haven't been out at all. This weekend is supposed to be ok so that may change.

How did you manage to use a front straight and a rear portal axle? Is the bomb proof's transmission front output shaft, rotating opposite from the rear output? Your rigs are b e a u t i f u l l. Im in the process of figuring out how to use a front boomracing phat ar44 axle with a rear portal trx-4 with lock_unlock dif.
