The Axial Yeti front shocks are longer than the SC fronts, but shorter than the SC rears...perfect! I built the Axial shocks using Traxxas 2362 X-Rings so hopefully they won't be leaky. They are filled with Axial 30 wt fluid and I'm using the yellow springs; 14x54mm 4.33 lbs/in. I will likely order some Axial blue springs to try them out (4.95 lbs/in) too. If I stick with the Axial shocks, I'll order the aluminum caps and adjusting rings.
That is some good info about the front shocks Bil. Were those rear Powerstrokes a little too long or a lot too long? I have some shocks that are a few MMs shorter that I want to try on my truck but it looks like I may have to hit them with a few internal limiters.

I would say they were a little too long. Internal limiters may be the ticket if you want to use them, or limiting straps.

Looks fantastic Bil. How are you keeping the hood down? I couldn't see a way to make it hinge forward without hitting the shock tower or cutting the front off.

Thanxs....I'm going to use the two rear posts for now since the battery bracket can still be used and won't force the hood up.

I knew you'd love it. I know anyone that gets one of these and takes the time to set them up correctly will love it.

I sure do Jerry!

I'm going to keep this B1B Bomber with the long wheelbase...tonite it conquered climbs that I have never seen any other person accomplish...EVER; it completely blew my mind.

I have some video that I will edit and publish as soon as I can.

Here's a few pics of the virgin test session.

BTW, I tried a 15 minute test session earlier today on my backyard bedrock and quickly found out the sway bar is going back on, the torque twist was crazy.

This wall is one of the spots I have never seen anyone accomplish...and the B1B killed it. I have it on video but it's truly gotta be seen in real life to appreciate.

It appears VP Yeti knuckles and Axial Universals don't play well together! Lot's of metal shavings.

I have removed a slight bit more metal where it was rubbing and polished the surface...hopefully it will be fine now.

You are running it waaaaay too high for a yeti front bulkhead, you need to keep lower and will run just fine. Maybe the VP/Incision cvds be the way to go for you.

The one slightly negative point is that the Yeti front end has a larger turning radius compared to an AR60 equipped Bomber, it's not real bad, but not what I'm used to. I do have the Axial HD underdrive (43T/13T) gears in the rear differential which helps to improve the steering.

That's what I figured....and yes, I will order a pair of the Incision CVDs to try out. Thanxs for the feedback.

After last nights test session, the rear hood posts are definitely enough to keep the hood down SCREAMER....multiple barrel rolls proves that it's fine!!! lol

Yeah VP VVDs clear no problem. I just put mine back in after getting the replacements from VP. I had the same "self clearancing" on the knuckle as you Bil. It's not way too high for a Yeti bulkhead, the bulkhead, outputs, universals and everything else are fine. A little rubbing isn't the end of the world. It didn't even rub enough to cause binding while sitting on the stand. Plus, running Axial's CVD or VP VVDs eliminate any contact entirely. Lowering the front until the arms are flat isn't the answer. Us Bomber guys are wacky dudes. We like silly things like ground clearance and off road capability.

Also, if you're not committed to keep such a long trailing arm, your turning can also improve by running Wraith length TAs. Mine did.
