No, I didn't. The front drive axles that came in the kit are 92mm...it's my understanding that the previous version used 94mm front axles that caused binding. I'm using Incision Yeti axles now and the Axial Uni's are now spares.

How many runs would you say you have on your VDIs, Bil? I'm assuming the pins are staying put in the outputs?

Sorry I meant the 103MM driveshaft, I found the binding in mine was caused by SSD 2speed transmission case being 2mm longer then stick wraith trans.

Ya I tired the 103mm yeti center driveshaft as well and its to long for me too. My only guess is his adapter plate holes are drilled farther back allowing it to work on his. He's also running his spur cover and mine won't work since servo horn hits it too.

Believe it or not, none yet! It's way overdue....there's a big run this Saturday and I was hoping to use the B1B, but the run is going to be 1.9 rigs.

I didn't modify anything with the stock Yeti front driveshaft. I used the Yeti dogbone carrier on the transmission output shaft. It's like it was made to work with this part using the spur cover.

After seeing you running the Yeti center driveshaft I tried it and it fits perfect for me too. I also used the output yoke on the trans side and the CVD on the pinion. I originally had a regular WBHD shaft cut to fit but I like the Yeti dogbone much better.

What 1.9 rig do you run?

Very nice Bil. I've been wanting to do an Ascender build for a while. That just gave me a lot of inspiration.

Does your servo horn Rub on the spur cover?

There's not much room in there but it shouldn't hit.
My servo is mounted to the outside of the plate & the linkage is on the inside of the servo arm.
Sorry, real hard to get pics now rig is together.

I bet bilinvic doesn't hit cover since hes still running it. Also looks like his servo ears are mounted inside on the mount too. I have mine mounted on outside of the mount and it hits spur cover. I guess it depends how your tranny adapter plate was drilled. If you look at bils motor, its almost at the end of the skid plate and mine had probably 1/2-3/4" gap from end of the skid plate.

Alt, you and screamer both have your linkage mounted inside of the servo horn. My linkage hits the cage if I try that. Does your linkage mount top or bottom on the steering post?

Another view. The drag link does get close to the chassis but clears through full sweep.

Thanks for the pictures screamer. You have your servo ears mounted inside as well, I think if I move mine inside, then put linkage behind the horn, it will clear. Since you were able to fit the 103mm center driveshaft in yours too, your adapter plate holes are drilled farther back. For me, the center driveshaft wont fit.

Sorry, didn't have a pic & couldn't remember, had to wait till I was home to check, my steering link is on the underside of the arm on the steering post.

Just wanted to let you know that because of this build I had to have one as well to compliment my bomber. I picked up the roller from the classifieds and my first batch of parts should be here soon. Gonna keep the wheelbase long for stability and hopefully out handle my Yeti! Thanks for helping me spend money.

Finally got around to installing the EXO front bumper. Looks much better than the Yeti bumper IMHO. I had to add 5mm aluminum spacers behind the bumper brace mount on the shock tower to lean the bumper out a bit to clear the modified Bomber front bumper section.
