just grabbed some pictures like i said i would...
as you can they arent exactly the same but close enough considering all i used was a big ball peen hammer and a vise and some heat..... but im not too worried. next is setting the width and tacking in some cross pieces, then shock hoops and a tranny mount plate.

just noticed the one on the left needs a little more tweaking.

once i get my cross pieces in i will start a different build thread for this thing so look there for the updates.

the damn power went out just as i went out to the shop so i hooked up my power inverter to a 12v battery and plugged in my cd player and drank beer for the afternoon. then once the power came back on i tacked on my cross pieces.

i just ordered some wheels so they will be here in a couple weeks.

heading to chilliwack this weekend and maybe heading over to van. island on sunday for a week to help out my grandparents but i am taking the crawler with me this time. if i have time i will stop in at the hobby shop and maybe pick up a set of wheels so i can mount them up and run them. and i just get some more money right before my wheels that i ordered show up i might get them too...

so to go along with this truck i will finish my flatdeck trailer to tow behind it and i got to thinking about making some removable posts so i can haul some scale logs and stuff while building my crawler course.

i just set the TSL's beside the bottom part of the chassis for reference. and this is NOT the track width either. it will be wider.

it will be a smidge wider plus the wheels so it should be close to the same width as when we put your hammers on my rig. might do an interior also but we'll see. i'll get the rest of the rig built then decide on an interior.

well looks like my grandpa needs some help over on the island, so i will have to call the hobby shop and see if they will hold my wheels for me until i get back..

we are dragging a boat to chilliwack i think for my dad's work so that means i should have a few minutes at the hobby shop since its on the same street just across the intersection from each other. might get the rockstar's this weekend and pick up my 8-holes next week..

anyhoo onto the build. i have drawn out a quick sketch of the shock hoops so i should be able to bend those up tomorrow.

nope we put it in my cousin's buggy just to see how it would do, did alright but was better with the stock motor so pulled it out. i left the 55t in my crawler.

hows them winches working??? crawled around in my course a little bit today, also found a crap load of little rocks under the snow too.
