easy way to clean it is to run it through some tall grass or weeds when your done playin in the mud.that'll get the bulk of it off
or wait till no one is lookin, throw it in the dishwasher. be ready to catch hell if caught though.

simple green and the sprayer on the kitchen sink works great also

It's not,if you look in my upgraded section of my first post, you will see that i have asiatees cvds.

UPDATE:

sorry im a little late on the update... It took longer than I thought.

This its how i started:

I stared by taking off my rear axle:
\

I got this far, and smelled lake, and thought... crap.

then i got to here, ant i didnt think it was that bad :

I took apart the diff locker, cuz i had some slop so I took the spur gear apart, and look what i found:

thats the rust stain from the locker...

So I lubed her up:

Put her back togather:

This is about as naked as she got:

lubed the other one up, and cleaned most of it:

I didnt put it all back togather cuz i wanna make a new servo mount.
thanks for looking

You really did pack that axle. That will cause drag and can possibly make your motor start running warmer. Looks like you were over due for some though lol. What I did was take some foams from like the ball/ball cups from buggies (not the exact foams used but that type of foam) and coated it (3 on each side of the diff) with marine grease and then lubed the diff. It keeps all the dust and water from getting to the diff. The only time I pack axles is if I'm doing a come where the is tons of water and mud but I'm sure to un-pack it when the day is done.

Ya, thats what I was using. But it didnt work very well for me. I am going to make a different one.

Ya, I was thinking I had it a little too packed. Ill take it apart tomarrow, and post up what I will use for my new cms. And for thats foam trick, can You post
Ant pics? Maybe my dad can pick up some of that foam from work.

UPDATE: new cms, and put togather!

Here is the paper mock up:
[
Here it is in metal:

Here she is boulted to the Chassis:

Now the servo doesnt hit the axle:

This is how it looks:

I think i might have to make a bent steering link, it hits the chassis when I flex to the passenger side.

this is hoe I had the esc mounted at first:

this is how i have it now, its perfect for my set up:

Here is my flex, about 5 inches:

I think i need wheel weights.

Right now, I'm using one slash plastic drive shaft, and one asia tees drive shaft: is this bad? I just wanted a front drive shafts so I could have 4 wheel drive at my grand parents house tomarrow.
And I took some grease out of the diffs, its a lot smoother now.
And I think I might go back to my stock esc, and like a 20t holmes hobbies torque master. By bro is bugging me about buying his xl-5 back, and I kinda like the drag brake, and I can still use a good motor.
