Where did you get the reflective rope? I really like it. Would a camping store like REI have it?

I like the look of your rig

I would guess shoe laces from a runner's type shoe store.

Nice looking Jeep.

I found out that I had to run 8mm wide hex's in the front to make my 1.9's clear zero ackerman Vanquish knuckles. J-fab makes some nice hex's.

Don't waste your money on the Axial CVD's. They are weaker than the stock dogbones. You can clearance the stock outer axles with a cone shaped carbide bit in a die grinder to get almost the same steering angle out of the dogbones with no loss in strength.

If that's not enough angle for you, then research the XR-10 U-jointed shaft mod.

How are the Trepador tires hooking up for you?

The problem with the Axial aluminum link set is that it still uses dinky 3mm rod ends, not the larger 4mm Revo, or Jato rod ends that the R2J, or Vanquish, or Lunsford links use.

I found the rope at my local Walmart. Here is a link to the manufacture's listing RMFPO3250

#1 Thank you for your input, and I have read through the XR10 mod thread several times to the point I almost completely understand it!

#2 Crap!... already ordered/received the Axial universal CVD's (still unopened if that counts?)

#3 The new tire's perform astoundingly well (imo) with the soft (R35?) compound they are constructed from. I do also appreciate the slight difference in overall diameter when compared to the tires included with the previous RTR's...scale looks are very close to the real thing if thats what your lookin for... would I buy these tires? = YES

I think the next item's on my "wishlist" will likely be a better radio (leaning towards Futaba 4PL) and a custom servo winch.

Hmmm...

I was also on the search for something to make inner fender wheel wells out of, and these little Ziploc containers seemed just about perfect.

First attempt came out almost perfect, still need to clean up edges and throw on some black paint.

The rear's were quick and easy to get trimmed for a snug fit being pretty much square. The front's were a bit more of a challange requiring several test-fit's in between trimming, but I am very happy with the final results.

I bought these Zip-loc containers Friday with the intent to get these made before the G6, but didn't have time.

Anyway, I'll be making these for mine. Thanks for the idea.

Yes, and thank you!

Don't have any outdoor shots "after mods" on hand, but here is a decent one from a while back I took this just after painting the exterior... I will make an effort to get some new photos posted up in the next day or two

Wow, this build is amazing. However, even after your first post I am not sure I want the JK anymore. Like you said, everyone will have silver. So, if I do pick us the scx, maybe I should just get the honcho so I can have a sliver Toyota, like everyone else. Never mind, that's not any better. Thanks for the inspiration!
