The first one trimmed up to fit. Because the second one is just like a lot of the other bumpers out there. Little narrow bumper with small "push bar"/"stinger" on it. It's done to much. IMO that is.....
or......OR! You could go ahead and put the second one on and then send me the first one to demonstrate how good of a friend I am to take away temptation. And show you how horrible it would look if it were trimmed up... Yeah that's what you should do....
OH...And go ahead and send them stock axles too so I can start on that 2.2 crawler I've been wanting to build.......lol
It's coming along great buddy....Great work.

Thank you. I'm going to fiddle with the chrome tube type bumper before I decide.

I trimmed the front tube bumper and mocked it up. Used 1/4 rod for the mock up, but will probably use 3/16 rod for final.

Before trimming.

After trimming.

I'll have to wait until Monday to buy some 3/16 rod to see how it will really look. What do you think?

To be continued ...

Sorry for not replying. I never received a notification. I didn't see the posts until I posted.

Thank you. One thing about the second one, is it sticks out 50 mm from the grille. This could affect my approach angle.

Your a comedian ....

The first one was my original idea. I'm also going for an Old School look. The first bumper sticks out 45 mm with the mocked up rod. I might be able to get it close to 40mm with a 3/16" rod.

I'm going with a Bad Ass color. If you've seen my other builds, you know I have a preference for metallic and candy colors, but this time I might try something different. Not 100% sure yet.

Thank you all for your comments.

Very nice build so far. I got on tonight to post my own build thread and came across yours. I like the direction your going. I'll be subscribing. I've been wanting to put some Currie axles on mine at some point. They look absolutely amazing on yours.

Thank you. I hope you enjoy following my G6 build. If you get a chance take a look at my City Slicker (also Currie axles) build. You might like it too.

Thanks again.

Thank you. Hopefully, 3/16" rod will make it look more balanced.

I got my front bumper done. It's not done, done because I still need the powder paint. But the fabrication work is done.

Here it is with 3\16" rod.

Well, now that I got my front bumper done I turned my attention to the rear bumper. I wanted to give it the R&R treatment. That's R&R as in Recon Ready.

One can't be out having an 4x4 adventure without extra petro. Just think what would happen if you ran out of gas. So I came up with a dual Jerry can holder.

These darn two door Wranglers just don't have enough storage to pack a lot of gear. So I came up with a cargo rack. Now I can pack more stuff, but still not enough room for the kitchen sink. At least I have some essentials, gas and water, covered.

Quite a collections of tools to get her done.

I designed my rear bumper/cargo rack to be modular. If I don't want to run with the cargo rack, I just remove a couple of screws. If I don't want to run with the dual Jerry cans, I just remove a couple of screws. So she can run light if need be.

Rock sliders are next on my "to do" list.

I almost pulled a Parker. Reaching for my cordless drill I came across this ...

Luckily I looked before grabbing my drill or else I could have been biten.

The build continues without any spidy issues...
