Thanks. I enjoy it too, but I always get impatient and ruin something. Here's hoping I only removed the interior film... lol

Once this is thoroughly dry (very wet coat shown) I will give it a few layers of flat clear, then remove the rest of the film and hope it looks like I saw it in my head before I started painting.

Well... I decided after the black dried to skip the dull coat. I like the semi gloss, so I pulled off the film. I'm happy with the results.

I'm done for tonight. Although "dry", I'll let the paint cure overnight before I start trimming. That is a mistake I have made before. Felt dry, started trimming and the scissors knicked the paint in a few areas.

I dug up Steve Austin who drove Aroknid for me. He was already amputated above the knee for that rig, so why no cut him up mid gut for WranglAR!

That's a good looking rig. How do you go about attaching your driver?

Thanks guys!

To mount the driver I drill a hole in him, run a screw with a washer up through the body, then screw it in the the hole in his torso.

Body trimming and accessories install complete! Time to give this project a rest for the day and enjoy some family time.

And... I get to take my axles back off and apart before I have even finished and run the rig.

So far it's turned out to be a great looking rig, brother! Color really pops on that body. Almost bought my 1:1 that color even. Wheels and tires look great and think you picked the perfect driver.

Proceed!

Thanks guys!

I have a delivery confirmation of my Knight Custom stuff, I can't wait for work to end and I can get home.

I have been dodging the electronic's stuff for this rig too, I've been exhausted and that stuff requires a little more thought for me than the mechanical stuff. I'm not so sure that will happen tonight, but I want to drive it this Saturday, so the basics of servo, esc, and motor will be installed by then.

I ordered a 1000 mah 3s lipo today to run the lights from, I will most likely wait for it to show up before I start wiring up the lights.

Not much will get done tonight, we are having family time. What I was able to get through while I was cooking dinner is 4 year old boy approved though!

I got the Knight stuff installed tonight as well as the RX box. The front bumper does not work with the grill, WTF did not want me to have to hack up my grill, so they are sending me another one!

And a flecks shot, just because... This is the maximum flecks I will let this rig have.

I'll be seeing spots for the next few days, but at least I know I won't have to exchange the light bar.

By far the most light I have ever had coming off of an RC.

I still have a lot to do to compete "stage 1" of this build. However it is a runner, and drives well!

My replacement WTF stinger showed up today, and Kevin Lutes nailed it! Zero interference with the Knight grill.

He also sent this very pointy angry looking pull pall, I get the feeling this thing means business!

It lives! Now I need the light buckets for the body and the 1000 mah lipo that will be for the lights to show up, get the winch sorted, and get some softer springs. It is too boucy for me.
