I will for sure. Axial universals just popped into my head when I was buying the parts for some reason. Totally forgot to ask Ikaika at The Crawl Space for the SSDs.

Ikaika is a cool guy. Only met him once while on vacation in CO though. I see TCS on FB

Saw these axle housings last yr at AxialFest and knew I wanted a set. Took a long time to find them because I never caught the name of the maker. Finally found them and will look great under my '66 Ford body for this year's AF

Will prob work on them by the weekend

I now see the diff cover and CVDs, but not sure if I want to drop more money quite yet

Anyone running the new Diff cover yet? Thinking about picking one up for the front and moving the old style aluminum one to the back...

Not sure which one you're talking about, but I just bought the flat sided version last night

Oh, the HD ones. Was going to get one, but wanted grey, so went with the other ones

Also, just noticed I have the knuckles installed upside down... which doesn't make sense because that bottom bolt hole is countersunk to flush up the button head, whereas when flipped, the button head sticks out. Unless that was just personal preference

Yeah the HD. I just ordered one to put on the front I already have one of the other style aluminum cover. Went with silver since I'm gonna paint it red anyways.

I have been very impressed with the fit and finish on my SSD parts. The bearings go in tight enough that there is no slop, but not so tight that they arent ever going to come out when it comes time to replace them. What kept me from buying the CVs was that I couldnt find parts separately for them if I ever do break something on one. I'm not sure if that's something that you plan on offering eventually or not?

I received my new one yesterday. Tomorrow I will do exactly what you are contemplating, new style on the front, old style aluminum moved to the rear. I like the fact that the new style doesn't have the lower mounting screws. I didn't like the screws that came with the original aluminum covers, so I used socket head screws. The lower ones could get hung up.

The new style cover comes with socket head screws.

There you go, new diff cover fits perfect and looks great. I used LockedUp hardware and his new driver fits perfect in those lower holes. Just be careful! If you strip those you are SOL!

Yeah no kidding. I just went to take off my rock shield....all but one bolt came out fine. Then I tried to drill it out and slipped and drilled into my thumb blood everywhere. Then I just pried it off. The new diff cover doesn't even use the bottom holes anyways.

Darn, I feel I should've gotten those instead and painted them, haha

Anyway, the straight angled ones came in today

Color is supposed to be grey (I assumed like the grey option for lockout, cHub, and knuckles), but they appear to be a dark bronze color

Also, supplied button heads wouldn't fit in the countersunk holes, so used the stock cap heads that were for the original plastic dif covers
