Yup, if the center was available on its own I'd be in but I'm not going to shell out that kinda scratch to use 40% of the product.

I'm going to guess there were more issues than that. A place like VP could whittle a new trinket to get the machines up and running in 5 days not 5 months.

What I heard is the company that makes the machine kept coming out telling them it was fine when it wasn't.

I have only been in this crawling world for a few months. I might get flamed for this but, are these worth the price? I have some other vanquish products and I understand and appreciate quality.

Edited from my dumb spell check.

A very subjective question. Of course they are worth it, unless your kids will be eating ramen noodles for the rest of the month just so you can buy them, then they are not worth it.

ramen tastes good though so its a win-win. throw in a hot dog and an egg in there and you've got a legit meal. plus you'll have some sweet axles....

You really are the only person that can answer that question. For some, Chinese knockoff parts are the only parts "worth" buying. Others would spend more on these Curries if they had to. That's why there's VP and Integy fans alike. Sometimes the lines get blurred but for the most part, people decide right away, which parts are worth their hard earned cash and what level of quality they are comfortable with. Not everything from any one company is the absolute best for all applications but VP gets a lot of my money because they make a lot of stuff that I like and think is worth it. The best part is we all have many choices and it keeps all of our trucks from being clones of each other.

Thank for the replies and ignoring my spell check error. I am a 45 year old kid so I will probably end up with some of these over the winter rebuild. Along with lockers, motor plate........ wait why did my wallet just run away from me?

I found one seller that had pricing and they listed the base cost as $230K plus tax, delivery, installation, and setup.

I can confirm. My great uncle is a retired machinist who used to own and run his own shop. He had 4 big machines, and I remember him telling me the total value of his equipment was like $1million+.

It's a shame I didn't get into the hobby until well after he retired and sold off his stuff...

I'm so torn on stuff like this. I make enough to go ham on things if I really wanted to, so that's not really an issue.
I hate garbage, and really love the look and feel of super top-end quality parts. (like those axles, and particularly when I want the parts to look realistic.)
But I know how hard I cringe when my wife wants to spend $250 on another dress, and I'd feel like such an ass to turn around and do the same thing with something even less practical, especially when the benefit is 75% cosmetic.
And on top of that, I'm trying to convince myself to get a Holmes Brushless system, and even considering how much of a benefit that would be I still struggle to get over throwing down $260 on one.

I'm rambling, but I guess the point is "To each their own."
