A half a million of these vehicles were built and played a big role in the war effort.

They would lend themselves well to a nice rust patina for the scale boys. Short front overhang would give a great approach angle and the tray could be fiddled a bit if needed for departure angle. They came in lots of configurations, single cab, double cab, ambulance, gun tractor etc. I even saw some with round hatches in the roof, probably for a gun mount, most likely Lewis or Bren.

The final picture is of a Ford version with what was called the type 11 cab.
Check this out. Based on stock scx10ii. All custom homemade bits and pcs put together. Light and works ok.

Looks pretty good, nice short overhangs. It reminds me of the gun tractor versions of that truck that I've seen.

I spent about seven months in Yangon a few years ago overseeing a project north of Pyay, shame I didn't know you back then.

Well I don't know if willy's would qualify as jeep but I'd love a 49 willy's pickup.
For my top 3 others topping my list would be a proper class 2 we-rock buggy to scale, you've already got the portals, but what would be really cool is 4 wheel steering.
Next I'd have to say any toyota, current models especially, like the 5th gen 4 runner or new tacoma. Or my fav. The 1st gen 4 runner with removable top.
And my final option would be a dodge durango, proportionately the body would make an excellent crawler with good approach and departure angles. I would love to see axial venture into the class 1 department with some smaller tired vehicles.

I forgot to mention another cool idea you could use is a portaled ifs setup on something, element had a good idea but portal ends would be a major improvement for clearance purposes. A class 2 buggy with ifs portals would be killer and nothing currently in production in rc.

If there was a 97-06 wrangler body available for a 12.3 I’d buy it. Even if the rear had to have cut fenders to give it a stretched look since factory wb was like 93”

87-95 wrangler body

The bullnose ford trucks need some love, 80-86. Maybe with a swapable dually bed. Interchangeable front doghouse could cover up to 96 since cabs were all the same.

I would love to see some more older ford trucks. I LOVE the 79 F350 single cab duallys.

American cars have never been a thing where I live. If I'm out driving my SCX10 II 1955 Blazer or 1955 F-100, 99.9999% of people have never seen a 1:1 Blazer or old Ford.

I am going to buy few aftermarket bodies, propably smaller than those for performance.
Propably Datsun 620(Redcat Kaiju) or something similar.

Not reading 6 pages so this may have been mentioned already - - -

99-06 Tahoe or Yukon. See quite a few of them SASd in the Fullsize Invasion posts on IG, would like to replicate in scale.

Fun fact/observation: most of the trucks I see in those shots crawling the gnarly stuff do not have 44" tires, racks, jerry cans, rock lights...they are beat up 1/4 tons with 1 ton running gear and a lot of sawzall action that are getting the snot beat out of them. Wish there was more of that in this hobby. I see it over in SBG from an aesthetic perspective every once in a while but they tend to build everything around the TF2, hardly the best choice for a severe duty rock wagon. I have noticed that trucks are either really scale, or really capable. Not a ton of builds combining those 2 extremes.

/rant over lol

I would love to see a 2021 Ranger Tremor to complete with all the Tacomas and/or the new 2021 F-150 Tremor. If you came out with a 2021 Raptor, I'd like to see a cross between a scaler and a short course. Realistic with some speed performance.

With the adjustable frame rails of the 10iii, Axial can now do any body, without it ending up looking distorted. Looking forward to seeing what comes out next.

2016+ Tacoma, esp the Access Cab Long Bed. I can assume that it is licensing, but Toyota just needs to get it together here. Soooo many folks would jump on this.
