I even did up the interior with diamond plate the night before the race and added some Poison Spyder diff covers I found at WV Hobbies to armor up the axles. I plan on hitting up the seats sometime this week. |

Got the seats finished up last week. Just a simple color swap with a bit of dirt weathering. Sorry about the crappy phone pics Spent a few hours the last few nights making up some frames to put some expanded metal over the rear shocks. Completed pics later today. |

| I love them!! There are tires out there that have more traction, but these look so good on the Wraith. Also the performance level these tires have give a much more scale feel to the rig than the sticky compound tires out there. So far these are by far my favorite scale tire to date. |

Imho the tires conform rocks extremely well after being broke in. I have Baja Claws in 1.9 for my Honcho and 2.2 for my Wraith. Love 'em. | |

About a week ago Wild Willy and I headed out to Lil Moab to test out the changes on the Wraith. Well you all know how much of a lead foot Willy has, he was attempting a pretty brutal climb and well, he rolled it. The rear of the cage was badly damaged. So after a bit of work to get the Wraith back home, we whipped out the sawzall plasma cutter and tube bender and started to repair and change the upper rear portion of the tube work. Stay tuned Pics coming (Note: The post above is purely for entertainment. The wraith is extremely tough and I have yet to break any part of the cage or chassis) |

After studying may pictures and deciding how to go about the rear tube work Willy and I got to work. Took a couple nights in the garage but we finished the rear tube work just in time for the trip to Utah St Champs in St George this weekend. I'll make sure to get a bunch of pics of the Wraith this weekend on the Beautiful Red Rocks of Southern Utah. In the mean time here are a few crappy phone pics |

How did you attach the lower section of the cage?? It looks like you used the original cage. Heated it to bend it, but it's hard to see how you attached it.

I cut out the rear to rear braces that connect the upper and lower section of the side. Then I bent the upper section down to see where it lined up on the lower section. Clamped the two together and ran a drill through the lower section and into the end of the upper section. After that I fish mouthed the end of the upper section for a better fit and remover a bit of extra tube work that used to mount the roof at the back. Then screwed it together. Hope that helps get ya the info you wanted. I can post more detailed pics if you want. |
