Unless the motor let go it sounds like your battery died.

Not sure if it is the same thing but I had a Castle esc that kept doing this to me about a month ago and they warantied it and no problems since. Mine would shut completely off just like you unplugged the battery. No steering no lights on the esc or anything then anywhere from 30 sec to 5 min later it would just turn itself back on and go again for a couple of more minutes then do it all over again.

Very helpful thread Josh, thank you for all the efforts, I just got me a wraith and want to start the upgrades with the tranny internals and drive shafts.

Could you post up some part #s for the proper robinson trans gears needed ...I have no knowledge of AX/SCX tranny internals...

Thumbs up Thank You.

Just purchased my 2nd rig a new Axial Wraith, I love it. I was gonna search some threads to get some more info, and my search started and ended with this thread, Thanks for the info dude.

Here is my '72 Chevy pickup Wraith on HPI tires and 8 hole beadlocks...

If anyone wants to do this body over cage setup, just drill holes to hit as many body panal holes and you can screw it on, and for good measure a hole or two drilled into the cage with a slightly larger screw will help for hardcore bashing if anyone wants more detailed pics or info on mounting a FS truck body just shoot me a PM.

Holy hell, that body is WAY to tall

You should think about cutting that body up and mounting it in the stock location.

Default Hoping someone can help

I just replaced the chubs and knuckles with STracing products and am wanting to put the vanquish titanium steering linkage on. The knuckles did not come with a steering arm like the vanquish do. Do I need a special arm for the steering linkage to bolt up? I don't see any for sale at STR's site nor
do I see zero arms for sale at Vanquish. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help.

use the stock ones. you have to do the same with the vanquish from my understanding unless you want the racing ackerman ones.

Default steering arm screw

Thanks XDR. Any body know what length screw is needed for the double steering linkage joint that bolts up to the steering arm? Is there really any need for any extra threads below the nut?

Maybe WAY to tall in your opinion, I like lifted trucks on tractor tires, I get the scale concept, but it's all relative...

...and if that is what I decide to go with it is not WAY to tall, just maybe a little too tall, but ill trim the cage eventually.

I have only had it 2 days, I just threw that 72 Chev body on from my Wheely King after doing some tupperware waterproofing, I plan on chopping the cage up a bit, still undecided on body, or cage look, one thing is for sure this thing is almost too much fun...

In the motor section of this guide it says you need a sensored motor. That motor is sensorless, not a good choice.

I have seen a video of a guy who show us his Honcho with this motor.
He said it was ok but at really low speed, you have some cogging.
I think it s ok for trail but for crawling I m pretty sure it s not great.

I consider trail riding to be lots of low speed stuff too, such as trying to slow crawl over logs and through creek beds but with short bursts of higher speed. I still consider great low end control a necessity for trail running.

This seemed odd to me. So does it have the guts of a 380? Either way, being nonsensored it's a bad idea.
This 3650-M sized motor has a core of 380 class motor but the outside appearance is as same as 540 class

It does, why would you want a smaller motor to appear as a bigger one?

I want to switch the electronics with the battery, but without taking the rcvr box apart to see how long the wire is to the servo or the esc....does anyone know if either the servo or esc wire would be long enough without splicing them? My first choice is to just move the esc...but if the servo wire is long enough I'd move both.
