How funny. I just picked up a rtr wraith too. Broke it pretty much immediately. Building it as we speak. I've probably dropped 1200 on it in the last week. Can't wait to get the vanquish axle housings.

The stock axles seem ok to me. It was the c-hubs, and knuckles that went within 5 minutes of starting to drive the thing.
It drives much more precisely with the new links.
It is pretty light at this point, and I see some of the heavier wraiths having heat and battery life issues.
I love being able to run 3 hours on a single 5200mah pack!

For sure. I picked up a couple of 3s 5000MaH packs on day 1, then ran it for several hours on a hike with my daughter. She was running my micros. We had a blast.

Could be... I was planning an immediate upgrade, so I wasn't concerned with frying it.

I invented out of necessity some "link condoms" for the new vp links.
The titanium seems to scratch really easily and they hang on rough surfaces more than I would like.

I had some 4mm ID soft nylon tubing on my work truck - split it lengthwise and slipped it over all 4 lower links. Slides much better and removes the step at the ball ends like link collars would. If you insisted you could warm it up and slide it over the end for a super tight fit. But taking links apart and getting the length right again sucks.

Steal away!
Pretty sure the whole idea of posting your stuff on a public forum is for sharing the idea.

It is night and day how much better they slide over sharp corners with the "condoms" on.
You know what you might catch from some filthy whore rock too...
never too careful.

Do you have a build thread started yet?
Be sure to let us know how long that ESC and stock motor last on 3s!

I do. It's the Noob II thread. Being ignored... LOL The ESC damn near caught fire due to a short in the BEC i installed. The damn thing fried my Traxxas reciever while it was at it. Replacement and back up receivers are en route, Tekin FXR is soldered up and ready to go, and new Castle Creations BEC is on order.

Too busy playing.

Next step is a servo upgrade (undecided) then motor, then rims/tires.

Work just hit the crazy busy season, so updates may be slow coming. I need to ditch the rtr paint scheme soon.

Heading to Ukiah in the morning for work, so I figured I better pay the guys at RPP Hobby a visit. See what they have going on.
Need to decide what I need....
