This was on a 2s 5000mah pack. I can go well over 2 hours without hitting the cutoff.
Even longer now with the better, properly broken in higher turn motor.

Also, the drag brake is infinitely better with the 35t tekin motor vs the stock 20t tin can. It actually holds on a 40% incline with 15/87 gearing.

Servo fade was my only complaint today.

Check out the stickies. Check out my blog (axialcrawler.com). I think it all depends on what you want to do with it.

If anything go low, aluminum servo horn, get the links replaced and put the battery under the hood.
I'm still running RTR wheels and tires, shocks and drive train (other than motor and gearing) without any real issues.
Some more heavy mods are coming for me in the next couple weeks.

I did see them. I'll probably get a set of VP wheels eventually. Just waiting for the right deal.

Gbean,
Check out Motoworx and Mayhem Engineering. I have a few sets of VP and Mayhem's, they're awesome, with some Motoworx on the way. Keep us posted on the Pit Bull's. I'm curious as to how good they perform...

Cheers,
Doc

What battery are you running? I still have my battery mounted in the back and I run lipo 2s and with my mayhem monster wheels, the truck is still front heavy even with the battery where it is. With a Nimh battery, it is pretty much 50/50.

Funny you mention weight distribution...
I corner weighed the rig earlier today with my biggest battery installed.
(A 2S 30c 5200mah Lectron Pro hard case. My favorite battery out of the three I have.)

Weight per corner:
FR - 1lb 11.9oz
FL - 1:11.6
RR - 1:9.0
LR - 1:8.9

Total weight 6.5875 lbs.

This motor is balls torquey but 15/87 gearing on 2s is too slow.

Really playing with fire today:
Tekin 35T HD with stock ESC?

Yes, the 35t tekin works great on the stock esc.

Just last night I installed the 1230sg servo, CC pro BEC set at 6.0V and the Crawl Space "da box" electronics tray. Everything is right, but it runs better than it did before on the ESC's BEC.

I added some closed cell foam weather stripping to somewhat waterproof the box. Still need to trim the height of the foam to get a good seal and less lift on the hood.
I have yet to get a 3s battery but have read and heard good feedback that the stock esc can handle it just fine with a proper BEC. See herehttp://www.axialracing.com/blog_posts/787000000 down a little under the "**" notes section. Axial customer service only knows what is written on the box. If you pop the ESC open you will find the capacitors and transistors are all rated at 17v or above. Plenty to handle 3s.

So a local kid who works at the LHS gave me a brand new un-cut kit body. Got some metallic blue and silver pactra paint now just have to get the painting done.
Do people paints then cut or vice versa? Im thinking blue with some silver graphics/undercoat.

Also, stripped the idler in the tranny while being stupid and trying to drive out of a bind in a crevice.
Decided to do it right and picked up Robinson Racing tranny gears.
Things to do:
Wheels. Find wheels, think I want delrin - then finally get rock beasts mounted.
Isntal dinky rear drop box.
Paint body.
Rebuild tranny.
Make rear firewall panel and relocate electronics there to facilitate a new TZI winch and controller up front.
Ultra4 exo rear cage graft.
