Forward motion..

So much extra space now!

A little too much wire..

But that's easy enough to take care of..

OK. Back to replacing the XJ starter..

I just put one in my Troyota, as well. With a HH 3500kv "regular"..

I couldn't be happier with the setup!

I set that one to "sensored only"..

But I think I might go "smart sensor" on this one and boost the shit out of it! Lol..
35-40mph, here I come!!!

Flushed the heads.

Getting wired!!!

And drying..

A put some of the panel's back on.

So, I'm use to running big motors with big power, but nothing like the Powah out of the 540xl! Not even out of HD..

In less then one full 2200mah pack. I think I blew out Both gear sets and shattered atleast 1 hex pin!
And that was just a easy test run!!!

Now to replace them and give it hell!

So I've got a question for ya Winnerone. Are you doing anything about the weight bias that comes from running the battery on one side of the vehicle, like it is.

I ask because I've got one too, built very similar. Ya add weights? Two batteries for super long run times? I can't decide what I want to do, because I feel like two large Mah batteries would be way too heavy, maybe two smaller packs would work out. I modded a stock wraith battery holder to sit where the battery goes in on a stock EXO, and screwed it to the frame rail, fits a 2300Mah 3s perfect.

BTW, great job testing out that XL motor, Dang!

Pics, or it doesn't exist! Lol..

If I'm only running one battery, I run it on the driver side. The Sexo doesn't seem to take notice to the weight.
In my mind (scary place) the battery aids in torque twist. Mainly for initial launch.

I run a pack on each side, in parallel, for longer hauls. Trail runs, KOH, g6, etc..

I thought about running "smaller" packs. But I was going to go with 2x 2s in series.
Only problem with that, I wouldn't barely ever use them. That and even 2x 3300mah 2s, weighed more, costed more, less capacity (then 2x 2200mah 4s), and I run my scx XJ with the same packs. So I ditched that idea.. Lol..

More testing coming, on the XL..
I know one thing.
This, in comparison, I figured it would be close to the 3500kv HD..
Well... That's not what the rig said!
With the setup I run, I never really got the front end to come up, on speed runs.
It does now! Talk about a grin, from ear to ear!
On the rock pile.. I could shoot a couple spots and launch off a couple others..
Hehehehehehe.. Instead of jumping a gap, I completely cleared the rocks I use to land on!
Instead of jumping up to catch the front end on a upper ledge, I landed on top of the rock!
Instead of having to feeling like I had to build rpm's to get the full umph.. I can hammer down at any point and feel like I have the pony's to do what I want!

(OK, so maybe my easy testing, isn't so "easy").. Lol..

OK, brass inserts found!

I like new stuff!
HH spool and a new HD gear, in stock ratio.

New bearings for the output shaft..

And just for some Extreme Abuse this weekend!

It's not as sleek as my clean steering links setup as before.. But it seems high enough and gives full lock to lock..

Today was a Great day!!!!

Hill climbs

jumps,rock racing, rock crawling

Broke a link screw

Stripped the servo horn

Dunno how long this was missing for.. Ooops

Stripped a 32p spur gear and I think another gear set is shot.. Lol..

As much as I hate the idea, I think I'm going to have to look into a V2 VP axle case.. :(

I got almost 4400mah of 4s thru it and a little video, of what makes me smile!
Which I'll get posted, once it's downloaded.. Going out crawling now..

Yeah, it gets pretty exciting! Lol..

All stock parts, wish they could run fast enough to get away! Baahahahaha..

I replaced all posts yesterday and had it out today..
Just got done replacing a new spur and pinion.. Went from a 54/11 to 56/13..
Hopefully it will mellow out the torque and gain some speed..
54/13 is where I would like to be, again.
Drive train parts lasted longer. Muuwaahahahahaha....

Other then the stock axle housings, rear axles, skid, and tranny case, everything else is upgraded..

She runs like a Beast, takes me beatings, and never talks back! (Much).. Lol..

Do they make parts for a Sexo!? Lol..

Seriously, that was 30 seconds of 3hrs put in the Sexo, this weekend..

I'll try to get back out and get 2 handed driving video..
It gets worse.. More controlled, but worse!

The hill climb is a killer... Making it is fun, but the pile of times it doesn't go all the way, it comes down in cart wheels and flips.. Ouch...
The race to the bottom, makes for sweet jumps, off the 3 bench's..
