Thanks Biggred..

With this being my class 3 entry for the Rc4wd ECSC and watching videos from last year, I decided I better get in the move towards waterproof!

I pulled madusa..

Decased and got ready for the go get wet juice!

Have no fear, if your esc comes out of the case in 2 piece's, it's OK! Lol.. I almost had a heart attack, myself..

While I was waiting for the go juice to dry, I took notice to my S mount.. Anyone ever see this before?

Back to electronics..
I planned, from the start, to neaten up my electronics package.. That was over a year ago! Lol..
Again, with the ECSC coming up, I'm going to get an interior and it Needed done!
I shorten the bec wires, before I waterproof...
I normally crimp a new rx plug on, but the wires at the board where pretty crappy. So I soldered them to the length I wanted.

All in place now.

Shortened the esc wires as well..

I normally run a Y adapter but this isn't a "crawler" and the rx takes 7.4v, so I left it be, for now..

Made some adapter's, as I have been looking for new and bigger 4s packs, to keep with smaller 4s packs or higher capacity, but smaller, 2s packs.
On the chassis rails is a perfect place for dual packs..

Now back together and everything working properly.. For now! ;)

Might want to pull that S mount and see if there's any other areas on it cracking like that. I'm curious to see if it's the strain from hard impacts jamming it against the upper arms doing it.

The rest of the mount is all one solid piece.. Looks good..

I'm pretty sure it's from the strain of abuse and hard impacts having against the uppers..
As it's pushed out a touch at the uppers.

Looks like you've got a little room to go re-enforce it, pending the required tools. Considering how you drive, might want to go ahead and upgrade it to steel.

I can take it to a weld shop and touch it up, if need be.
It's already steel, so not much to upgrade to.. Lol..
I think it will be good. I'll keep an eye on it.. Maybe.. Lol

Went out for a quick run today..

Quick it was!

So now with the options..

Not much of a decision, in my eye's...
My scx, Sexo, yeti, and sporty all run...

With biggun69 beef tubes and Dlux modded housing's, a built plastic housing may cost the same as a VP housing, but that bearing makes a World of difference! That and I've had the same set of beef tubes in 4 housings.. They don't go bad! (Unless You strip them)

I did bling out the rear axle, some.. VP shock/link mounts and upper VP link mounts.. (Just not the housing. It still leaves that little bearing in there)

So you know who's product's are in the lead!

A little bit of bling! Thank you, for sale section!

I had a small glitch.. Thought it was the bec, since my steering has been crazy snappy!
My rig was shutting down, but the esc was still working, just not my motor or servo so it couldn't be the bec.
So I pulled the rx plugs from the rx. The servo ground wire pulled out of the rx plug. Problem!
So I crimped a new end on and made a bypass adapter.

It fit nicely.. Then I went and did some speed runs.. Next thing I know, the servo isn't working.. Ugh...
So I'm not sure if the bec is kicking out a higher voltage and the servo is going into thermal lock or what. But I'll be testing it out soon.

I love the ride height on the Sexo

But didn't leave a great deal of clearance for rock crawling sections.
I saw a tummy tuck mod today, that moves the skid to the upper chassis rails.

It might take a little work, but I spent some time eye balling things today..

That low stance is sweet looking & prob handle better at fast speeds but wouldnt it take away the crawling ability? I also seen the tummy tuck mod, it looks promising all but cog being raised with tranny & all raised....also the front uppers may get into the frame a lil, decisions decisions!!!

The low stance is more of the semi droop/sprung setup I run.. When crawling, it belly's up pretty good.
Like any rig/setup, it's all about drive time and knowing when to use a tiny little 3500kv 4s throttle blip to get over a obstacle. Like this sidewalk, for instance.. Or the 10' of grass before it.

I got flying lessons today..

Lesson learned, crash and burn!

I'll get video of the sidewalk jump downloaded..

I have a feeling my 5000mah of fun cost me some money today. I know atleast a rear axle shaft is bent.

Pfft.. that just means it's time for upgrades.

Might want to start hunting for a metal cage. Atleast then you can bend it back.

Lol.. Too funny! ^^^^^^^

Looks like I made my update, 4 months ago!

Soooooooo, is getting about that time of the year, when I do rebuilds and get stuff ready for the start of a new year..

Today's adventure, was a new set of rear axle shafts, new UD gear set bolted to a HH Torquemaster spool, bearings, and a fresh set of RB2's and CI 6" DD softs..

Lots left to do to this one! But I sunny bore you with the up and coming changes. I'll just lyk when they happen. ;)

Yes sir!!!
I even got to run it a bit ago.. Which put a smile on my face, like no other!
For 2 reasons.. 1. It actually runs!!! 2. Cause I thought I needed a ESC. Last time I ran it, was upside, in the water, at ECSC.. The front tires acted like paddles and skipped it across the top of the water, on it hood, straight into a waterfall! Promptly it shorted out and took a crap in me! Lol..

Buuutttttt...

Finally going to do some upgrades too! Like, new link ends! Lol..
Think it was time?

Then I had to do something about the lack of ground clearance, without raising the cog(too much) or screwing with the handling..

Hmmmm.... Tummy tuck!?

Found out I need some new parts tho..
Like a wraith chassis rail..

And the exo cage sides.. I don't like the way it looks without the rear wing..

If I have to rebuild the cage, I'm doing the full cage over!

Glad to see this guy still kicking, never seen a truck take so much abuse

I recently got my sexo running again, with the tummy tuck, and I found that the up travel was severley limited by the front of the wraith cage, granted I was running short shocks, but something to look out for.
