I assume 3 cell lipo, but what turn motor did they say it could handle?

I still run my comp rig on 55t motors, it is peppy enough on a 3S to flip over at will and do some decent jumps.

All the settings and features are the same as an FX-R, just the internal BEC isn't as strong, so to use it effectively you need an external BEC, which I think we all run anyways.

3S LiPo and 45 turn is what they said should be the limit, although since joining the team, I may be putting a set through paces at many different motor/battery configurations to see just how they hold up and file a report on them.

Btw, So far so good on my comp rig esc temps after a hard hard run and multiple packs are still in the light load range. The esc's have an on board temp gauge and I haven't got hotter than 1-4 out of six bars...once I have a temp gun, I'll get exact temps, but so far they are still cool enough to touch.

One thing on size, you can see how small they are, next to a CC BEC, two esc's wired up, are barely larger than one BEC!

Yes sir! 7.4v vs 11.1v. 3s is 1.5 times the power of 2s.

I have to get another set before I test them on 35t, but I will ask the boys over at Tekin what their test results were. I belive JustZach is another one of our offical testers, maybe he has some more info.

the 35t's would be fine on 2S. I would be worried on 3S though, especially out in AZ, it aready get's hot out there! lol Jeremy definately wouldn't want to be running 35t broods on 4S through these though, POOF goes the esc...lol

Ok, time for some updates. After months and month of hammering on the stock gears and bearings I decided for safety sake to order the VP cases and motor plates.

VP'A-Clause delivered today...not bad since I ordered them on Friday!!

So, I pulled the cases of the stockers, expecting to at least find some bearing carnage....

NOPE!! Everything was golden inside!! I guess when you build it right the first time....

Anyways, the VP cases included everything, and went together in about 5 mins so I won't bore you with details. The only internal changes I made was to add the new titanium goodies I got while at Axial back in December. All re-greased and buttoned back up now, time to get back on the rocks!!

Everybod is all upity on the Ti tie rods, but my aluminum one is 3 grams lighter, and much cheaper....

So far the B1R's have been flawless. In my opinion they work as well as the FXR does, just a few more limitations in motor/battery combos.

After talking with the engineers at Tekin, I learned a few things about the units, and what they can handle. We'll just say that in the configration I am using, dual esc + CC BEC, I could easily be running the 35t handwounds on 3S comfortably. Although I am still happy with my 55t's. However, I would not try to run two 35t motors on only one B1R though on 3S, CC BEC or not.

Thanks for the info , after seriously considering the B1`s i bought a pair of Mamba Micro pros this week for my XR due to running 40T broods on 3s . I just couldn`t go back to 2s . I had to try the micros to see for myself what everyones on about , but untill I actually get to run them I`m not real impressed , one being twice the size of the fxr. Always liked and have had good luck with the FXR . When my berg goes back together it will be Tekin powered for sure , if the B1`s don`t cut it I`ll just go back to FXR`s .

Gotta do what ya gotta do. I know Krawlfreak burned up 2 mamba micro pro's pretty quick, and went back to the FXR's. He runs the 35t broods on 3s. That I know of, he hasn't tried the B1R's yet, but he didn't get a set handed to him to try either.

Anyways, for now I like them!!
