I have all the stuff to put a front axle on the rear too (thanks to Scott) but not before ECC...

I must admit I stole the idea from Limited77 and he hooked me up with the info and parts needed.

Thanks! I spent a little while cleaning up the tires and making new body panels. Forget lexan... delrin is the way to go

As far as looks and performance the truck is as ready as it can be for ECC. Now it's just up to the driver to blow it .

Just a shade under 3.25 at the front of the skid.

Harvo, Could you tell me what the truck does when you put it in dig on flat ground? As far as the suspension. Does the front squat, rear squat or both front and rear squat?

On mine, when I dig, it squats the rear quite a bit, but only a little in the front.

It squats mostly in the rear. That's pretty normal AFAIK. My moonbuggy did the same thing. I think its a leverage thing. If you rear dig forward it will raise up.

When it's flexing though, I try to make it so that the front and rear corners compress at the same rate. It's kind of tricky because the shocks are mounted differently on the XR axles front to rear.

Rig looking really good

Now that you've got some time on it how do you compare this to your previous set up?

First off... it's much lighter than anything else I have tried with these axles. I can get away with 3.25" under the skid because there is no weight on the chassis.

I also like the added breakover. I was really missing that with the stock skid. With the knuckle weights, this chassis and the SLW's, this truck can be ready to run at 5lbs 5oz. with a small battery.

I actually added weight in a few key locations because I can't find springs soft enough for a truck that light.

So this combination is stable, and sidehills wonderfully! Very nimble.

This truck looks and sounds great on that video. What gears do you run?

The gears in both trucks are stock. The second truck has fantom motors that make the noise I think you are talking about.

A short video of Harvo on the Brood course. Sorry for the choppy editing my wife was running around trying to catch the action and she didn't film in between gates. He ended up with a -18 on this course HD on Vimeo

from Pdog7 on Vimeo.

Thanks guys. Wish all my courses could have been that good

The Rockshow was amazing. It did everything I asked it to... and pulled out of a few spots that surprised me too.

I got it wedged up a few times during the day, but the stock gears continued to hold... even after that funky jump in the video. (That one had me worried).

My springs are still too stiff. I'm going to be trying some different things soon to hopefully resolve that.

Last year, breakage landed me in 68th at ECC. This year, the XR Rockshow pulled off a 16th. I can handle that
