| Harvo Monkeying Around with a RockShow
I like Techy build threads... but this one is going to start out with some fun... from Kevin Herndon on Vimeo. I built the XR stock when it was first available. (Right before Nats) I started using it right after that. My first comp with it was a team indoor deal at Brian's Hobbyland and I won $200 with Pdog7... cool right? You can look it up in the comp thread to see who we beat Anyway... The stock XR has been good to me with a top 5 in the Turkey Crawl, and several 2nd place finishes in our club. Much better than last year, and the reason hasn't been my driving. At the start, my only upgrade was Jeff's Rocklinks. A HUGE improvement. I was running Epic motors with an FXR and a Punk Dig. When I realized the truck was good, I threw in some Fantoms for better response. I also strated playing around with bodiless stuff. This is a JP Customs Hellstrom. I also tried the Carbon fiber Axial chassis with the Hellstrom Cab which worked pretty well too. I liked all the chassis I tried, but they all used the stock skidplate. I wanted something to change up the geometry, give me a little better breakover, and allow me to lose some more weight. I'm also a big Rockshow fan . I talked to Mike and got this... The parts rundown is in the video credits, but if you didn't watch that long... It's a Rockshow, with Brood Motors, VP axle parts, EricDlux knuckle weights, dual FXRs, Big Bores, and a combination of T1e, Rocklinks, and BigRon's Customs Lowers and Uppers. It's late... More later. |

I've got a friend that does some stop motion films. Some up to 20 min long and there is a hella bunch of work involved but makes for a cool watch. Good job on the vid and build |
