They will fit, I just tested that last night. In the case they take up most of the room but decased they don't even take up half of it. I'll have some pictures up later today.

Very easy, you can peel the sticker off and pop the cases apart by hand without breaking them. Then slide the heatsinks into each other and shrink-wrap, they take up the same room as 2 FXRs.

Has this rig hit the rocks yet?
If so how is it?

Sorry team no updates as yet. Had a Stag night on the week end and spent the time after that feeling very ordinary. I hope to have it running under its own steam this evening.

Some thing like that Mike, my liver had misbehaved and needed punishment.

She is now all wired up and ready to rock and roll. From the little bit of carpet testing I did last night i have found that with out any weight in the wheels or knuckles it tends to unload quite easily. I have removed all of the chassis braces in an attempt to soften up the back end.

Hopefully the weather stays fine until this afternoon so that I can hit a local spot for some actual rock time.

Nice wiring.
Very clean.
There really is plenty of room on this chassis for the electronics.

One of the Viper drivers asked me to try this out so here is a Mantis/Viper. I don't really like the look and the roll recovery is not great with it tending to lean to the rear. No additional holes were drilled, they just happened to line up.

So I finally got some time on the rocks with this, this evening and I was pleasantly surprised. The rear unloading was not as bad as I initially though it would be after driving it around the house last night. It has a way to go yet but I think I can get it to perform to my liking. I ran it with no added weight at all so that is one of the first things I will need to change, Climbing was great but side hilling was less than average. There is a remarkable difference between the Brood 45T LE motors and the Brood 35T HHk Creep motors. the 45's have a much stronger drag break and are far more responsive to the transmitter. Wheel speed was slightly less but still enough to do what I wanted and I could control gap hopping with much greater ease.

So things to change.
Add some weight to the front and rear.
Tune the shocks. Springs, oil and positioning on the chassis
Play with front lower link placement and relocate front wiring to eliminate travel binding. Failing that make some customs.
mimic my front BC's on the rear.
Probably a couple of other things that I am forgetting.

I suppose you want the see the photo's eh. There would have been more but it started to rain. I did get a little video so I will try to upload it tonight.

looks great...I also notice the battery mount (RR) fit ok. Did you remove any of the chassis braces in the rear?
