No Dramas with the RR battery mount, I have removed all of the main chassis braces. Only the topper braces remain.

Interesting feedback. I am anxious to see how your tuning goes.

Looking good.

I have mine setup the same way..... All braces are gone except for the two holding the dub top on. It's fairly flexy, but still not quite as much as stock. It would be to stiff otherwise in my opinion.

I have removed all braces between the side plate.

You can see in this picture that the topper is just held by screws and lock nuts.

Hmm... Interesting! So I'm curious, what setting do you have your front upper links on? I'm not satisfied with the amount of twist I have in the front and I think my setup is a little off.

Shock and upper link placement is currently the same as Don's original photos.

as you look at the side of the car with the front wheel on the left. Third hole from the left second one down

Ok thanks! I'll try that setup out! Lol would you mind telling me what shock position you and Don have?

I think it is top row second from the left.

Though I will be changing both as I did not like that placement when I was driving it last night.

Here is the little video I shot of my first run with the Mantis last night. Shortly after the roll over it started to rain so I did not get to conquer the crevice. Next time eh.

1080HD if you like full screen

Edit: Forgot to mention this is my first go at video editing so be kind

I took this out again last night without any changes from my last run. I managed to get up the crevice that I could not on tuesday so I am pleased with that.

The Gear box is still binding on the links so I am going to shorten some bent links from a DNA Slingshot and give them a go. If they don't work I may go for some custom bent Ti links.

Weight is still definitely needed in the front and rear. I am not going to have time to get some Sven lock out weights so I will have to see what I can come up with locally. I will muck around with D-lux knuckle weights and VP DH wheels on the front over the week end.

Still need to cut some skins for this thing too. But I am having fun driving it at the moment so I can't be bothered tearing the rig down to make them.

I shot some Video last night and edited five times. But every time I went to save windows movie maker shit itself and to close because of an error. So that should be up some time over the week end.

I would like to Thank Don again for giving me the opportunity to run and review one of his prototype chassis. Cheers mate.

I will have some lockout slug retainers with me in Vegas if you want to try them (I will be there Tuesday). I'll be running a Dub Mantis as well.

Thanks Sven, we come in on the Monday or Tuesday and will be hitting up the comp location in the days leading up if you want to join us. So for now I will just tape some lead to the rear and run with that.
