The KR's do like a wider wheel I have them mounted to 1" wide SLW V3's the boss claws that I also run on this rig are mounted to 0.7" SLW's. On both sets of wheels I use 725 or 600 hubs. As far as the side hilling goes now that I have the shocks and axle weight tuned the tyres have a lot less effect on it. A wider track ought to help negate the height of a crawler, but there are a lot of factors that contribute to side hilling ability.

Skins are on.
I tore the rig down last night so that I could mark up my templates for the stainless steel skins. Same as the Viper I have used 0.125mm 316 stainless. Now just waiting to see if mounting then to the inside of the side plates is legal. Its over cast here today so they can not catch the full sunlight.

Thanks guys, I've asked the question in the rules section so I am just waiting for the final word from the powers that be.

Erik, if i skin the outside with poly I could put some funky sh!t inside the voids

If it turns out that they are illegal I will just swap them to the outside and take off some of the length back to the second last flex brace.

You could fill the voids with magic sand or that stuff in Lava Lamps

So tell me, why are you running three screws in a rim?

Thanks Norm, 3 screws because I could not find the rest of my SLW screws It seems to hold the bead fine though. 6 hours on these wheels/tyres and no dramas. I guess it would save half a gram too

The skins look really cool...nice way to still show off the chassis.

I'm trying to figure out what to use for my new skins. The $2 binders I've been cutting up make great upper link mounts for my MRCs but aren't the greatest for body panels. lol

Maybe a little but the difference is negligible. I will know for sure this evening, that is if the rain stays away. Tonight is supposed to be my last practice before getting on the plane for Nationals.

My bent uppers while I am sure Don's are much nicer these do the job perfectly.

Yeah, I've seen it asked before, and you are going to be putting them on the outside, but I have no doubt you'll come up with something hot.

Is this going to be the comp rig next week?

Thanks Tydl, I have asked the question in the rules section but am still waiting on a reply. Looks like the skins are going on the out side. Yeah mate this will be the rig for next week end.

Here are some pictures of my last practice before the 9531ml trip to Vegas

I made it up this climb and had video of it but the camera was dropping in and out of focus so I binned it.

All better now, thanks. Question for you...with your red springs and big bores, if you press the chassis to minimum and release, how quickly does it return to height? Does it snap right up, or take two or three seconds?
