A few facts for you

1. I have bought a secret agent, not that it has anything to do with you!
2. Untested chassis you say, do a little research and save your mouth
3. You did crawl with us last year, this year Im not so sure see you at
the comps
4. You asked for sponsorship in your build thread. How do you think the way
you conduct yourself reflects in any way a sponsor would want their
product related too?
5. I spent every second day out on the rocks for 2 months tuning my bj4, not
copying others
6. You are 40 odd correct ? Grow the **** up
7.This is Krawlfreaks build thread, nothing constructive, don't bother posting! **** off to your build thread!!!

Back to the build Krawlfreak, over to you, looking good

Alright, enough with the Aussie e-peen measuring contest. If you want to douche it out take it to chit chat.

in the front i have 4 ounce of tungsten now and it feels right but i am finding that with this light a weight the inertia from the rotating mass is trying to throw the car around a bit.

i am gonna give the knuckle weights a shot again with the lightweight setup. i never liked them on my heavy setups but we will see.

this is new teritory for me....

i have proven the heavy setup without a doubt in my mind, and now it has kinda become a personal goal to figure out an equally or better sub 5 lbs setup.

I have always liked the knuckle weights because when I run all the weight in my wheels the rotating mass throws me off line sometimes. I usually run half the weight in the wheel and the other half on the knuckle.

I look forward to seeing how this turns out. After the VARCOR comp I am running this Saturday I plan on putting my agent on a similar diet.

Don't wanna be a husky secret agent, wanna be light weight, with cat like speed and reflexes.

Did you take off all the weight in the rear with the light weight setup? I noticed when I with the light weight setup that I tried with no weight in the rear the back end was to unstable on descents and side hills.

i did.

the rear is light but what i am noticing is with the light weight setup i have to plan my decents a little farther in advance and get the chassis sucked down but it has actually been feeling really planted. the issue has become any quick stops where the momentum wants to carry on and the truck doesn't... thats where i think the knuckle weights will help the most.

i also went to a slightly stiffer spring in the rear and this helped with any lifting of the rears in off camber situations... but the biggest effect for that was matching the width f/r...night and day difference.

What was the most weight you ever ran on the knuckles?

IMO if you only run 4oz, you might as well put it back on the wheels and forget about it. I dont think you start seeing the effects until you get in the 6-7oz range and thats still pretty light.

Its the same thing as me never running wheel weight but only having run 16oz of t/w/f and knuckle weight. If I were to add 4oz of wheel weight, take off my 11oz of knuckle weight and expect the same results that would seem a bit crazy, no?

the most i could fit.

i tried running it light before and went back instantly. i could not get the bias i wanted.

really my heavy setup is absolutely the best i have ever driven and it has been proven.

i am trying to get a lightweight setup to perform equally.

That's the issue I had and why I run knuckle weights, they will help.

Right. Equally.

You just dropped approx 1lb from your front end. If you ran your old DH setup and took out ALL the weights on both sides you would still be heavier than what youre running now. I bet if you ran no weights in your DH wheels you would not like that either.

i dont know if you are trying to argue with me or not...

it has more to do with weight bias than just removing all the weight.

i understand what you are saying but right now i am at the same 24 oz of forward bias that i was with the dh setup.

i didnt just remove all the weight so the example of the dh setup, your right i wouldnt like it , but it is not the same circumstance.
