I run a set of brood apocalypse HHK-R matched set and love them. They have excellent start up and tons of torque with good wheel speed. I would have gotten the vapors but they were not out yet maybe next year. But you can't go wrong with either Brood or Holmes.

I've heard, they are great! On the other hand I've heard that's in a lighter rig.. 5lbs or less..

I have the Crawlmaster Pro 16t in my rig now. Very good motors, super smooth and quick.

I'm at 4.55 lbs. I also used these motors when my car was about a pound heavier so they work at any weight.

Im really havin a hard time picking my new motors.. I leaning towards the HH Crawlmaster Pro 16t but have not seen any video showing it in action showing both slow and high wheelspeeds.. and then i wonder about the Brood Vapors... I have hearf that they are badass... I have narrowed it down to these two motors. My rig currently wieghts 5.25 lbs and could possibly be goin on a diet soon.. undecided on that right now.. Itook apart my Tekin 55t yesterday for an rebuild.. I have run these for over a year fairly hard with no maintnance(Im lookin for a reason to buy new ones...lol.) and to my suprise they didnt look to bad... the comm looks fairly decent considering a years work with no maintnance.. I will cut the comms later on the lathe and replace the brushes, oil comm, lube bearings,etc.. but the machine winding is horrifying... what a crappy job.. never realized there was such a difference in quality...

I need to make a desicion already so that i can get some real power plants in here..

get what ever hh motor you want none will let you down .

i can say if your running micro sidewinders id stay away for the 4 mag motors . they hold but not like the 2 mag motors .

this is why i picked the 30 squed arms an there in a 2 mag can

I ran the HH 16t motors before I got my vapors and was very happy with them. On 4s and 3s they worked good for me. Very smooth on the low end, never felt like they lacked in torque for a 5lb rig.

I switched to vapors for two reasons. 3 pole motor for better drag brake and mostly for the weight savings. This was before John got setup to shave cans.

Honestly low end feels the same, very smooth with no hesitation. My drag brake feels stronger on the skewed arms I have because of the 3pole arms. I feel a little more top end power in my Broods but we're not racing so its hardly used.

I don't think you could go wrong with either ones. It all depends if your looking to drop light with the rest of us. Good thing though is if you went HH you could always sell them off for vapors later. It's not like no one wants a Crawlmaster so they resell good I think.

I run Brood Apocolypse 35t HHK's. SUPER smooth motors with more wheel speed than I need on 3s. I ran em on 4s just for giggles & they were CRAZY quick. I'd recommend these motors to ANYBODY wanting great lowend control with enough punch to jump gaps.

Don't stress so much bro. Both Holmes & Brood have GREAT motors & KILLER customer service. I don't know much about the Vapors but I'm sure they'll be fine.

Holmes motors will last you till the end. I run holmes in my xr and my ax and love them. His new Holmes custom motors, 32turn is what I have in my xr, and a 27turn torquemaster is what I run in my ax10. Both are awsome motors that are super smooth and have rediculous torque.

I know that climb, thats a sick spot.

That whole area has some great features. Havent been there in a couple years - might actually see it on an New England Triple Crown series sometime.

Have you checked out Boston Crawlers or NERCC ? They are local to that area and have comps.
