| Re: Am I too late to get into XR10 comping?
Alright, the P.O.D. for today has me tearing down my front axle, replacing all factory bearings with Fast Eddie units, replacing the stock motor plate with a Vanquish one, and more than likely eliminating the sliding bar steering so I can go with more traditional rods. Anything I really need to be on the lookout for in there? Any mods I really need to consider while they're apart? Any advice at all? . |

So far you're on the right path. One thing I recommend is doing the Olite bushing mod for gear shaft that comes out of the trans housing. I mangled a few bearings then did that mod and all is well. As far as ditching the push bar and upgrading the bearings, you're good to go friend.
