I purchased a spectrum 300+ oz servo with titanium gears, after two packs the gear is stripped. What are you guys running for a high torque servo?

I have 2 SAVOX SV-1270TG. One in mine and one in my daughters with a Castle EBEC. No complaints here.

Get the Hitec 9380th. No need for a BEC. It's rated at 472oz at FULL STALL and only draws 2amps MAX.

I hate leaving negative post.... But I will NEVER buy a HITEC product EVER AGAIN!!! I've recently spent almost 600$ dollars on 7950th for my Rc fleet ... I had a issue with a lower gasket blowing out after 10-15 runs.. The blown seal allowed moisture inside of the servo leading it to a premature failure... Called Hitec and was instructed to send it in for warranty work...After all it was only 2 months old with 10 runs and cost 130$... shortly after they received it they notified me that it was going to cost a additional 80$ for repair... I told them it's gonna cost them more than 80$ for shit service.... keep my 130$ servo crooks Terrible company...great product...we get screwed in the end....

Holy shat. 2amps and 472oz at full stall, thats effin impressive. I've seen that servo out for a while now but didn't know about what you posted. I like how 6v vs 7.4v, specs are the same lol but just the speed increases. My 800oz blue bird h50b rapes my 850mah in my moa lol. Even though it says 'high efficiency japan brushless motor'.

Get the HV500 that still takes a BEC..

Great point! But on my XLX I have two spare battery compartments that house the separate power supply.. my back driver side has 7.4 1600mah for the servos along with a 6.0 1200mah for the fans.. passenger side has a 9.9 1500mah with BEC for the OBA. So 12 volt might be the ticket... have you seen the 12 v preform? I know that you are pretty hard core

I own both the HV500, and the SHV500, The HV being in my top truck..

The SHV in my sporty..

The SHV gets WAY hotter then the HV does. Also the HV I have running off the internal BEC in the MMX and it works flawlessly.

They are both fine servos. The HV being better suited for you guys so you wont have to run ANOTHER battery ( obviously some people this isn't a problem )

The HV500 in my Top truck tho, Is the one I pulled from my XL, and its STILL going strong, After two 1st and one 3rd place challenges

I'm using the expert wr7701. It has been flawless and is fully waterproof from the factory. I think I paid like 98 for it.
