Hey badger, how's the steering on that beast did they do anything to increase steering angle on it? Amazing pics and awesome review, keep up the good work

I really like the looks of this car! Can someone with knowledge tell the advantage with a solid rear axle over and independant suspension? How will the handling caracteristics of this car be compared to a buggy or short course, except the larger tires?

The solid rear axle will help for crawling / extreme situations. Most likely will hinder high speed cornering, body roll, etc. I guess that this will be for rougher terrain than an SCT or buggy, smoother terrain than a comp crawler, or even a scaler.

Are you sure thats an exo front end? Not sure if you have built or seen a wrexo but a when you bolt on an exo front end its a good inch to inch and a half wider than the ar60 axle and by looking at the pictures It looks like the yeti has the same track width front and rear and by looking at the pictures it doesn't seem to have wheel wideners on it?

I believe Harley or someone estimated they had the wider plastic spacers for the axial beadlocks in back. In a couple of the pics you can kinda tell.

Looks like it has the brushless system out of the Exo Terra RTR. Sensorless 2900kv and a Castle sidewinder rebadged as axial

Great for bashing and I know most guys will upgrade right away to SLW hubs and a sensored brushless system. Along with changing to a 3 ch radio so you can shift the gears on the trans.

Going to stick with my wrexo for now and see when the spare parts come out to pick up a cage and steering system.

Looks sensored to me in the pic straight on with body up.

sorry, but why the need for sensored.... I cant see the need for making this a crawler.... If you want a crawler... go get a MOA and brushed!
and This is a KOH Ultra4 kinda truck, they never crawl, they floor it

1:1 ultra4 still crawls, but all the ultra4rc vid's i've seen, sensorless is good enough

But for a dual purpose rig, i'll still be going sensored

I'm pretty sure that's not the same vangaurd system (well at least motor) from the EXO. I hope it is much better. My ESC gave up the ghost fairly quick after some 3S runs. The Hobbywing I replaced it with is a far better ESC. All the hype and teasers are killing me.
I think the Yeti will be what I wanted the EXO to be.

The more I see it, the more I like it.

I'm not sure the chassis looks durable though.

I'm also not crazy about the rumored 2-speed transmission being locked in high speed. Come on Axial, stop cheaping out on us!!!

Being a high speed rig, I doubt the steering angle is any different then the exo.

I will probably not be able to resist buy this rig. It looks fun
