I'll say the same thing that I said to Mike.

Admit it...you're scared.

Awesome YETI, the one thing I am unsure about is the reversed plastic A-arms, they are very bendy when used backward. I would personaly order a set of aluminium front control arms for this rig. (I have some and they are as light as the plastic ones)

By how much last time... half a second?

With the way I expect this car to handle once it's sorted out...

I'll be a lap ahead.

I'll watch for that. Aluminum arms tend to break chassis.

Really? Your worst case scenario is a Chassis Tub at $32, But it is still cheaper than bending universal shafts, plus you carry more weight than a stock YETI to justify it.

I have slow motion movies of my YETI in rocks and the rpm arms bend a lot even used right side up and forward.

Anyway, just trying to help here.

Which aluminum arms...got a way to measure the weight of those aluminum arms? Just curious.

Them being upside down doesn't change much when it comes to strength. I don't think I'll be doing it, but I hear the west coast U4 guys have lots of rock on their courses where crawling is important not just bouncing over.

And your Aluminum arms are moving too, just in the chassis and front Caster/Toe blocks. RPM's are great, yes they bend and move, but they never seem to break and never take out a huge list of parts like aluminum will.

That's my philosophy too. If I break an arm or a shaft on race day, it's a 10 minute repair, and I am on to the next round. If I break a chassis it puts me out for the day.

Is it in poor taste to ask how much one of those cages is going to cost? Because of the labor I'd think it would cost as much as an entire Yeti. I also read everything the other day and I don't recall and discussion about swapping out the servo or motor. Are the electronics all stock?

I can't give you a price. I am not a vendor. PM Wheels7 for pricing. I think he said there was about 30 hours in mine. The servo is a Holmes Hobbies HV400. The motor and ESC are still stock at the moment, but are going to be swapped out for Tekin.

Check out the Castle 550 1415/Mamba SCT esc combo...couldn't be a more perfect setup for the Yeti. The torque on tap, all the way thru the power band, is amazing, it really is. The Voodoo U4's convert all that instant torque into acceleration very nicely. I ran this setup at our Hammer Down with a 13 pinion and it was all cream

Installed a Dlux truss and titanium upper links. I ran the Dlux front truss/servo mount on my previous race rig for 2 seasons with great results.
