Awesome start!

Any chance an 1/8 scale shock (16mm) will fit in the rear with those titanium upper links? It looks like there may be more clearance available than with the stock plastic links. I think rear truggy shocks would be perfect on the back of a yeti.

It probably should. I'm tempted to run a custom bracket at the top mount to shorten the length of the rear shock. I saw someone on here do that with some CF. I'm planning on test fitting the rear Pro-Line Pro-Spec shock. The length isn't that much different. Stay tuned!

Time to start the steering tonight. The vanquish steering rack vs the plastic

Here's the vanquish aluminum steering posts and bearings vs the plastic posts and plastic bushings.

And now the aluminum posts installed. Much stronger!

Now to deal with that pesky built in servo saver.......

It took a while around the shop, but a 15x10x4mm bearing for perfect on the outer post and created just enough tension to lock out the saver!

Installed slowly with the course little screws

Now on to the front clip. Ended up with Vanquish knuckles, Hot Racing carriers, Hot Racing CVDs and some Pro-Line turnbuckles/rod ends

Almost forgot to mention the RPM front A Arms. Not my favorite as they're a bit flexy, but they'll do good on this heavy girl!

Picked up a few official Axial Racing upgrades to help secure the suspension points a bit better than the plastic. Front shock tower was on the list!

All mounted up. There's four spacers that come with it. Offering no instructions, I gather that the smaller ones go on the camber link and the larger ones in front of the shock tower on the top shock mounting point.

Now the rear shock mount (top). Although I plan to do a custom plate k. The future to run a normal sized SC shock, this will do the trick for now

Lastly, the four link mounts (wow they're pricey for Axial parts! Lol) these also came with a spacer that allows for a bit less aluminum than the plastic stock part

And now mounted up

Looks like there's a possibility of an inner mounting point for the front of the trailing arms now

Now on to the front shocks

The Pro-Line Pro-Spec shocks intended for an SC truck worked out perfect with some slight tweaks.

Added the Pro-Spec's optional purple springs which are "super hard" and a longer lower shock eyelet from a rebuild kit.

Added some team associated 45 wt oil as a starting ground and the mounted up perfect

They feel super smooth! Much better than stock

Reluctantly, I filled the rear stock shocks for now with 45wt oil and remounted to the awesome rear ended of the Yeti. Here's a look at it so far

The lower mounts can be flipped in the chassis adding more tuning options for the rear links. If you flip them side to side, it allows more triangulation for a more crawler setup. You can also flip the upper shock bushing to help keep the shocks in line with the trailing arms when doing this.

Yeah, I've noticed how genius the link mounts are and that they're interchangeable. Great job by Axial on that one!

The ProSpecs are great! They're super smooth and very tunable (I have a ton of springs, pistons, etc that will work with 12mm big bore shocks). They are about the widest shock you can run on the front of the Yeti, as I have about 2mm before the spring hits the universal. I filled the stock rears with some heavier weight oil (for now) and they were like a toy compared to the ProSpecs.
